‘아기 병아리가 태어났어요’ 동화책을 읽고 난 후 다음과 같이 활동을 합니다.
5를 기준으로 묶는 활동은 앞으로 십진법의 기초가 되고,
덧셈과 뺄셈을 위한 수 모으기와 가르기의 기본이 되므로 이 활동을 많이 해 주면 좋대요.

A hen laid 7 eggs and sat on them.
A few days later yellow chicks hatched eggs.
Hen was happy but it was worried about... What?
Yes. It was worried about being eaten by wolf.
So it counts chicks every hour.
But does it count a number that is more than 5?
No.
Can you count a number that is more than 5?
Of course.
Maybe you count a number one by one.
This way is correct but slow.
Today let's learn a new counting way.

Let's learn how to show numbers with five frame.
How do you show the number 6 on five frame?
6 is 1 more than 5.
7 is 2 more than 5.
8 is 3 more than 5.
9 is 4 more than 5.
10 is 5 more than 5.
or 10 is double 5.

::: Counting on a ten frame(계란판 이용) :::

We can represent numbers in an ten frame in the same way.
For example
6 is 1 more than 5.
is 4 less than 10.
