Throughout his long life, from 1881 to 1973, Pablo Picasso loved to draw, paint, sculpt, paste and experiment. 1881³â¿¡¼­ 1973³â¿¡ °ÉÄ£ ±×ÀÇ Àü»ý¾Ö¿¡ °ÉÃÄ ÆÄºí·Î ÇÇÄ«¼Ò´Â ½ºÄÉÄ¡ÇÏ´Â °Í, ä»öÇÏ´Â °Í, Á¶°¢ÇÏ´Â °Í, Ç®·Î ºÎÄ¡´Â °Í ±×¸®°í ½ÃÇèÀûÀΠ°ÍÀ» ÁÁ¾ÆÇß¾î¿ä.

Picasso hated doing the same thing again and again. He experimented with different ways of painting. ÇÇÄ«¼Ò´Â °°Àº ÀÏÀ» ¹Ýº¹ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ» ½È¾îÇß¾î¿ä. ±×´Â ±×¸®±â¿¡ ÀÖ¾î ´Ù¸¥ ¹æ¹ýµéÀ» ½ÃµµÇß¾î¿ä.

He gave people huge, heavy bodies, or drew them as simple shapes and spaces. ±×´Â »ç¶÷À» °Å´ëÇÏ°í ¹«°Å¿î ¸öÀ¸·Î ±×¸®°Å³ª ¾Æ´Ï¸é ¾ÆÁÖ °£´ÜÇÑ ¸ð¾ç°ú °ø°£À¸·Î ±×·È¾î¿ä.

 

In 1937, a Spanish town called Guernica was flattened by bombs. Picasso was horrified. 1937³â ½ºÆäÀο¡ °Ô¸£´ÏÄ«¶ó°í ºÒ¸®´Â µµ½Ã°¡ ÆøÅº¿¡ ÀÇÇØ ¾²·¯Á³¾î¿ä. ÇÇÄ«¼Ò´Â Å« Ãæ°ÝÀ» ¹Þ¾Ò¾î¿ä.

Picasso painted what he felt, not what he saw. The mural is over 6 metred long. It was finished in three weeks. ÇÇÄ«¼Ò´Â ÀÚ½ÅÀÌ º» °ÍÀÌ ¾Æ´Ï¶ó ´À³¤ °ÍÀ» ±×·È¾î¿ä. º®È­´Â 6¹ÌÅͰ¡ ³Ñµµ·Ï ±æ¾î¿ä. ±× ÀÛǰÀ» 3ÁÖ¸¸¿¡ ¿Ï¼ºÇßÁö¿ä.
