Quick as a Cricket은 테잎에 나오는 노래를 듣고는 제가 반해버린 책이예요.
재윤이도 좋아하구요. 이 책에 나오는 상황이 실제 생활에서 일어나면 반드시 해보고야 말죠. I'm as happy as a lark.....
좀더 많은 영어를 들려주고 싶은 욕심에 이것저것 만들어 봤어요. 노래와 모션을 같이 하면 아이가 더욱 재미있어 한답니다.

I'm as quick as a cricket(노래로 해줘요) Wow, he is very fast. Can you run fast?
Let's run from here to the living room. Ready, get set go! And let's run from here to your room, go! Good. We're as quick as a cricket.

I'm as slow as a snail.
Let's do as he does.(두 손가락으로 천천히 걷는것처럼 흉내낸다)Slowly, slowly, very slowly. Quickly, quickly, very quickly. Good.

I'm as small as an ant.몸을 최대한 움추려 작게 한다.
Wow, you are smaller than mommy.

I'm as large as a whale. 팔을 최대한 크게 펼친다.
Look, this whale is larger than this ship.

I'm as sad as a basset. 우는척 한다. Why is he sad? (아이의 상상력을 키워주기 위해 이런 질문을 많이 하는것이 좋겠지요?) When are you sad, 재윤? Mommy is sad when you are sick.

I'm as happy as a lark.
Why is he happy? When are you happy? Mommy is happy when I go on a picnic with you and daddy.

I'm as nice as a bunny. 재윤이한테 기대면서 부빈다.
Wow, they have long ears. This bunny is munching clovers.

I'm as mean as a shark. 할퀼것 같은 손을 하면서 무섭게 표정짓는다.

I'm as cold as a toad. 부들부들 떠는 소리를 내면서 몸을 움추린다.

I'm as lazy as a lizard. 손을 입에 대고 하품을 하면서 졸린 표정을 짓는다.
I'm very sleepy. I don't want to work.

I'm as busy as a bee. 바쁘게 청소하는 흉내를 낸다.
What is this boy doing? He's raking the vegetable garden. What are bees doing? They are taking the honeys out of the flowers busily.

Put it all together.
Which do you like best of all? I like bunny the best.
Let's find a fox, let's find a shrimp......
