Hi guys, it is Aaditya from Champaign! We recently had winter break in America because the semester was over for school. This meant no homework and lots of fun time with friends! Do you have a winter break in your school?
Winter here is very cold, just like winter in the book for this week, The Snow Queen. The Snow Queen was written by Hans Christian Andersen and it was recently adapted into the Disney movie Frozen. The tale is about a young girl named Greda who goes to save her friend Kay from the Snow Queen. Greda faces many problems in her long journey but always continues because she has strong determination.
The instructions for the worksheet are the same as usual this week.
1. Read The Snow Queen. Try to read it at least two times, once out loud and once in
your head.
2. Fill out the worksheet we posted. The worksheet has five parts. There is a vocabulary,
multiple choice, simple question, short answer, and a creativity section. Make sure to
go back to the book when finding some of the answers. The pictures may help you
remember what happened.
3. Take a picture of your worksheet and upload it.
Have fun reading the book because it is very interesting. It also teaches an important lesson: To never give up, no matter how hard a task may seem. Greda never gave up and she eventually saved Kay, the task she undertook. I hope you all have a great week and we will see you next time!
