글을 장황하게 쓴다는 것은 그만큼 할 얘기가 많다는 거지요.
아주 좋은 현상이라 생각합니다. 장황하게 쓰다가 포인트를 잃어버리고 문법적으로도 맞지 않는다면야 문제가 되겠지만 거의 실수도 없고 이야기 흐름도 나무랄데가 없는 걸요.^^
한문장씩 보도록 할게요.

영어식 날짜표현에서 저렇게 줄인 단어의 경우는 마지막에 마침표를 넣어서
줄였다는 표시를 해줘야 한답니다.

각 단어 (be 동사 빼고) 대문자로 시작하기!

약간 문장이 긴듯해서 한번 잘라주었어요..
we pulld the blanket over our heads, waved our hands and legs,

아쉽게 pulled 의 e 가 빠졌지요?
shouting "Mommy! daddy! the scratchy monster! he caught me!"
shouting "Mommy! Daddy! The scary monster! He caught me!"
scratchy 가 아니라 scary 를 쓰고 싶었던 것 같아 고쳤구요. 대문자로 시작하기 실수가 있지요?
그리고 아빠나 엄마에 my 가 붙지 않으면 고유명사처럼 대문자로 시작해야 한답니다.
