The Tale of Despereaux

Chapter 9 ~12

After reading chapter, answer the question below.

1.     What is pronunciation “Furlough” in Korean?

And write 5examples.

 I looked it up in my dictionary. It is pronounced “follow”.

 I followed mom to the supermarket.

 She followed the thing.

 Despereaux followed the sweet music.

 Fallow me, I’ll show you something that you’ll enjoy.

 They followed the parade.

2.    Why did Despereaux want to read words?

 He thought that the spell will be come true only if he say the words

“Happily ever after” aloud. Then the relation between princess Pea and him

could be a good end.

3.    What was Despereaux punishment from the mouse Council?

 He was to be sent to the castle dungeon to the rats.

This was the punishment for not acting like a castle-mouse.

4.    What was in the dungeon?

 In the dungeon, there lived rats. All the castle-mouse thought the rats

are going to it Despereaux when he is sent to the dungeons as the

punishment.

5.    What’s the most interesting words? Why?

 The French word for farewell is “Adieu”. It has sorrow, but it hasn’t got a

promise that gives hope.

Chapter 9~12

 In these chapters you read how Despereaux is sent to the dungeon as a punishment, and how he meets it like a knight in shining armor would do, if he is in the depth of trouble.

 When the story starts Despereaux is reading a book. About knights, princesses, a fairy tale book. Then his brother Furlough runs in to the castle library. He tells Despereaux that he is summoned to the mouse counsel to join them. But Despereaux can’t hear him. His mind is filled with the book’s enchanting words, and the love for the princess Pea. But finally Furlough pulls him away from the book and goes to the mouse counsel, with Despereaux right behind him.

 So Despereaux is there, before the mouse counsel. And he is surrounded by all the castle-mouse. And he is found guilty of standing before the human king, letting the human princess touch him, and speaking to her, and he is to be punished. And he is to be send to the dungeon. But before that, he is given the chance to apologize. But Despereaux refuses that, and because of that, to be send to the dungeon with a black heart.

 And he goes to the thread master, to get the red thread around his neck, and when the thread was tied, he is brought to the dungeon. And his mothers last words for him was “Adieu”.

정말 초간단 써머리에요.

The mouse court sent Furlough to take Deseperaux who was reading a book sitting on a floor.

Furlough tried to take him but Deseperaux wanted to read more. Eventually Deseperaux went to court and court asked some question. First, Did you sit at the foot of the human king? And Second, Did you allow the princess Pea to touch you?

"Yes, sir" Deseperaux answered both.

Those acts were the rules that mouse shoud not do.

But Deseperaux broke the rules so he sent to the dungeon.

In dungeon there was no light and rats would eat him.

But court gave one more chance if Deseperaux renounce his action, they would allow to go to dungeon

with pure heart. Deseperaux repused and said "NO, I love princess Pea, so I have nothing to sorry!!"

Finally, he sent to the dungeon....

1번 문제는 좀 아리송하다고 하네요

한글로 답을 써야 하는지 모르겠다고요....    원래 아리송한 것에는 답을 잘 할려고 하지 않아요

뿌잉이에게 미션출제 순서에 대해 알려주었더니 소리부터 지르네요

소리 한편으로는 웃음이 번지는 것이 하겠다는 뜻도 있는 것 같아요

두 번째 미션인 써머리도 올립니다

The mouse council sent Furlough to bring Despereaux.

And furlough found his brother in the libary.

He told the mouse council wants him, but he didn't listen to it.

So Furlough persuade Despereaux to go.

The entire mouse community had gathered behind the wall of the castle ballroom.

He looked up at the members of the Mouse Council.

The punish ment for the Despereaux was send him to the dungeon.

Where the rats live. When he heard 'dungeon' and 'rats' his small heart sank

all the way to the tip of his tail.

Before he send to the dungeon, the thread master said be brave for the princess, like fairy tail. Despereaux have no idea why the thread mast know the fairy tail.

The mouse council sent Furlough to get Despereaux

At that time Despereaux was reading the story.

He wanting to read the word, happily ever after.

He needed to say them aloud.

And then, Furlough divulge to Despereaux

"Mouse council want you"

But Despereaux refused and say "Do you know love is?

And he say somebody love me."

And then Despereaux continuously princess Pea.

When the Despereaux arrived he ask, why he was on the

king foot.

And then he answered that he was listening to the music

as if he had something right.

And then Despereaux go in to the dungeon to die.....

문장이 정리되지 않고 좀 어지러워요.

대명사를 좀 줄이고 좀 알기 쉽게 써달라고 부탁했어요.

써니는 써머리만을 좋아해서 어쩌죠? 그래도 함께라는게 의의가 있다고

감히 미뤄 짐작하면서 용감히 올립니다.

The mouse council sent Furlough to get Despereaux. While the mouse council was voting whether Despereaux send to the dungeon or not, Despereaux was deeply devoured by the lovely fairy tale, wanting to read the words; happily ever after. He had to say it out loud assuring himself that this would become true in his own life with Princess Pea believing that something magical would happen. As soon as his nasty brother Furlough saw him, he said talking to a paper is wrong and coldly announced “the mouse council wants you”. But Despereaux refused and asked Furlough “do you know what love is? There is somebody who loves me.” And keeps on telling Furlough about princess Pea regardless of Furlough was telling him that they are supposed to go. When they arrived at the council’s meeting place, they asked Despereaux some questions. They asked why he was on the king’s foot. He answered that he was listening to the music as if he did something right. As soon as this part ended, they said they would give one more chance for saying sorry. Do you think that Despereaux said sorry to get out of the dungeon? No, he didn’t I thought so too. He said I love that princess and that he would not renounce his actions. He ended up in the dungeon. As the poor mouse was getting ready for his death, he kept on saying happily ever after. Don’t you think he is bold? Anyways, the problem was that his mom said adieu which meant farewell in English when her own son was going to the dungeon to die.

미션을 받아완성하는것도 허덕거리고 아직 문장을 그럴사하게 하지못하는지라
