일주일이나 늦게 지난 금요일에 미션을 했습니다. 그리고 이제야 올립니다.

죄송합니다. 그래도 참여하는데 의의를 두고 할려구요. 너무 이일 저일 정신없었습니다.

미션 1)

 1.Who is Baito?Balto is  brave dog and sled dog.

 2. What is Nome? Nome was a frontier town Alaska.

 3. Gunar is Balto's driver.

 4. The hospital in Anchorage Alaska had the medicine.

미션2>

 1. The had only gone 20 miles. Yet Olson and the dogs were almost frozen and completely worn out.

답을 영어로 쓸라니 머리가 어찔어찔.. ^^ 저의 수준이 어찌나 한탄스럽던지요. 어쨌든. 할 수 있는 한 해보았지용.

    Balto would come to the rescue.

    He wrapped it in fur to keep it from freezing. (이 문장이 특히 잘 안 만들어졌어요)

    A blizzard was coming.

    The driver hitched himself to the sled.

6. 발토가 금광회사에서 일하는 내용이 없구요, 시장이 방송한 얘기도 없구요.

미션2>

1. 미국 교과서 Balto 내용은 조금 더 설명문에 가까운 느낌이에요.

 문장 구조나 단어 수준도 The Bravest Dog Ever the True Story of BALTO보다 어렵게 느껴졌어요.

  The Bravest Dog Ever the True Story of BALTO는 더 쉽게 읽히고, 저학년을 위한 동화처럼 여겨져서, 저희 초등학교 1학년 아이에게 읽어줘도 무리가 없는 글의 수준 정도라고 할 수 있겠네요.

2. The medicine they needed would have to come from Anchorage-800 miles away-through a wild wind and snow storm.

 And the road from the south was completely blocked by deep drifts of snow.

* 미션을 하면서 문장을 만들어보고, 그걸 책으로 확인하는 과정을 하다보니 도움이 되네요. 맞을 때의 희열도 느끼고, 보고 나면 "아. 이렇게 간단할 수 있는데!"하고 한탄도 하구요.

       미국 교 과서에서 찾을 수 없는 얘기네요

      미국교과서에서는 발토가 금광회사 일한다고 나와있지 않은데요

     미션 2. ①미국 교과서 : -발토가 늑대와 섞인 알래스카 허스키라는 얘기(발토에 대한 구 체적인 내용),

                                      - 좀 더 대화가 많고 얘기의 긴장감이 좀 더 느껴집니다

                                      - 디프테리아로 이미 죽은 사람이 있다.

                 The Bravest Dog Ever The True Story of BALTO(STR) :

                   -  그림이 있어서 얘기를 이해하기가 쉽고 좀 더 쉽게 읽혔어요

- 약이 없으면 디프테리아로 두 아이가 죽을 수도 있다. 그리고 더 - 많은 사람이 죽을 수도 있다. (아직은 이병으로 죽은 사람은 없다)
