Gilly is kind of mean. She doesn't thank Mrs.trotter for her kindness for taking her as a foster children. And she made a scary face to W.E. And looking at her snapping at adults she is rude too.
3.Why is Gilly so bothered by miss Harris?
Because miss Harris has black skin. Gilly has a bad opinion about black people. she really freaks out when she eats dinner with Mr. Randolph. And she disliked touching him too. And on the first day of the new school she just didn't liked Miss Harris because she was a black person. And she more hated when almost half of the classmates were black.
And Gilly thought that Miss Harris tried to make her as a fool in front of her new classmates.
4.How would you describe Trotter?
I think she is a kind but strict person. And someone who knows how to share love. Many foster parents can be mean to their foster kids , because they are not their real born children. But Mrs Trotter tries to understand Gilly and tries to be friendly with her.
5. In the beginning of chapter 7, what opportunity pleases Gilly?
Gilly had catched up with her class. She got the highest score on everything. She was pleased that Miss Harris had to give her good compliments even though she knew Gilly diliked her
6.How would you define the concepts of family and home?
Family is a strong bonded people who care so much of each other and love each other.
Home is a place where you feel most comfortable and relaxed.
