(대충 읽었다고 생각하시믄.. 엄.. 글쎄, 음.. 그게.. 긁적 긁적)

간단소개: 아이 낳는 것은 무서워하지만(어설픈 D.I.N.K족), 아이는 꽤 잘다루는.. (정말로 ~) 30대 중반 유부녀입니다. 성북구에 거주하고, 늘 항상 여전히 영어교육업계에서 일하고 있고, 회사 일 외에도 2탕 3탕 외부 작업도 시간 되는데로 하는데 바쁘게 사는 것을 너무 좋아하는 커피 홀릭- 직딩입니다!

단어 정리를 제가 다음편에 하고 싶었는데, 남편이랑 속초를 거쳐 바닷가를 한번 주욱 주말동안 돌기로 했어요 ㅠ-ㅠ 그래서 시간이 안될 것 같아요. 다음 미션 때 해볼게요. 죄송해요, 일마레님 !!

1. 안녕하세요?  저는 40대 후반인 후덕(?)하게 생긴 아줌마예요.  첫째는 고3 이어야 하는데 현재는 미국에

    교환학생으로 가 있어서 올해에 돌아오면 다시 2학년에 복학하려구 해요. 둘째는 중2 아들인데 사춘기가

    시작되어 많이 부딪치네요.^^  뭔가 나자신을 위해서 의미있는 일을 찾다가 우연히 북클럽 멤버를 모집하 

    는  것을 보게되서  일단 저질렀네요. ^^

          --> unadorned(장식을 하지 않은)를 몰랐는데 plain과 비슷한 뜻일거 같았음)

         -->evict(쫒아내다)는 help와 반대되는 개념일거 같았는데 좀 차이가 나네요.

   P.12 :  But here and there amont the modern buildings one can still find  from olden times.a cloumn  

             or two, an archway, a stretch of wall, or even an amphitheare dating from olden times.

             It was in a city of this kind that the story of Momo took place.

우리 북클럽에서 가장 수준 높은(?) 책을 읽고 계시는 분들입니다. ㅋㅋ

우리가 북클럽을 시작했을 때는 원래 이런 모임을 생각했는데

쑥쑥이 아이들 영어교육이 주목적인 커뮤니티이다 보니 요즘 아이들 북클럽으로 바뀌고 있네요.

다름이 아니오라 11기는 책의 특성상 댓글의 양이 많을 수 있습니다.

댓글은 바로 작업하시다가 글이 날라가는 수가 많습니다.

그러면 허탈하고 다시 하기 싫어지죠.

그런 불상사를 피할 수 있는 방법은 먼저 워드로 작업을 하시는 겁니다.

그 다음 복사해서 여기 붙이면 됩니다.

그 방법이 훨씬 편안하니 앞으로 그렇게 하십시오.

   It had never been a grand place, even in the old days, just a place of entertainment for poor folk.

   When Momo  arrived on the scene, the ruined amphitheatre had been almost forgotten.

   Her unruly mop of jet-black hair looked as if it had never seen a comb or  a pair of scissors.

   Her ankle-lengtth dress was a man's jacket, aso far too big for her, with the sleeves turned up at the wrist.

  Salvatore

  One of them was the bricklayer who had built Momo's stove and painted the pretty flower picture on her wall.

  He was a strapping fellow with a black moustache that curled up at the ends.

  Nino

  He was skinny and always looked tired.

  Nino and his plump wife, Liliana, were also friends of Momo's and had often brought her good things to eat.  

    미션 수행이 잘 되었는지 모르겠네요

1. 안녕하세요 저는 22개월 남자아이와 현재 임신 3개월중인 직장맘입니다. 이번주부터 다시 일을 시작해서 입덧에 여러가지로 조금 힘든 나날을 보내고 있답니다^^ 그래도 이렇게 북클럽을 시작할수있어서 너무 기뻐요 ^^ 끝까지 잘 하길 하는 마음으로 시작했습니다. 잘부탁드립니다.

2. 너무 오랫만에 원서를 읽다보니까 1장 2장을 읽는데 첫번째는 53분, 45분, 40분 걸렸어요 그리고 소리내서 읽어서요 좀 시간이 걸린것도 같네요 ^^

3. 12쪽밑에서 12번째줄 - 밑에서 일마레님께서 말씀하셨구요 이 단어들은요 ^^

23쪽 위에서 7번째줄 - 새가 지저귄다. 노래한다는 비슷한 내용의 단어들이네요 ^^

   쑥에 가입한지도 이제 3개월여밖에안되구요.많이 부족하지만 소속감이 있으면 좀더 열심히할수 있을거같아

   겁도 없이 덜컥 가입했답니다....전에 영국수필선 이런거 읽는데 왜케 지루한지 진도도 안나가고..아직도

   꺼내보고싶지않고 책장만 차지하고있답니다...

    이렇게 막연하게 해석해도 된당가요?...ㅎㅎ

음..사진도 올렸고..3월초에 불혹의 나이에 결혼했다는 말씀도 이미 드렸네요^^; 지금 대학원에서 상담심리를 공부하고 있습니다..저두 여러분들처럼 예쁜 아이가 빨리 있었음 좋겠네요^^

소리내서 읽다가 묵독을 하니까 시간이 단축되는 것 같습니다..^^ 문장 하나하나 해석하면서 읽은게 아니라 대강의 의미 파악 정도 하면서 (많은 부분이 생략) 읽었습니다..

문장을 그대로 써보는 것도 읽기에 많은 도움을 주는 것 같아욤. 꽃지맘이님 말씀처럼 보고 읽고 쓰고..여기에다 오디오 북으로 듣기까지 해볼 수 있다면 참 좋을텐데 말이죠^^;  무엇보다도 영어책 읽는 것은 심리적인 극복이 더 우선인 것 같습니다. 불편해하지 않고 부담없이...모르는 단어가 나와도 그냥 넘길 수 있게...주눅들지 않는 것이 무엇보다도 중요한 준비 같습니다...^^

1. 초2 딸을 둔 전업 맘이에요. 혼자서 챕터북조차 제대로 읽지 못하고 주변에 같지 읽자고 할 사람도 마땅찮고.. 그래서 이번 기회에 참가해보고 싶었어요. 그런데 이래저래 집중해서 읽는 시간을 내는 것도 쉽지 않네요...^^

2. 1장(1회:약 1시간?/2회: 약 30분?) 2장(1회: 약 1시간?/2회: 약 30분?) 빨리 읽지는 못하겠네요. 시간을 제대로 재지도 못했구요...

3. 몰랐지만 알게된 단어들(물론 여전히 모르는 단어들도 있죠^^;)

오디오북이 있다면 들으면서 따라 읽으면 읽는 속도도 늘고 집중력이 더 좋아질 것 같다는 생각이 들었어요. 오디오북은 없는 것 같더군요~

1.       전 10살 아들,7살 딸을 둔 직장맘입니다. 항상 영어 원서를 읽어야 한다는 중압감으로 정작 읽고 싶은 많은 소설들을 편한 마음으로 접하지 못하고 있습니다. 이번 북클럽을 통해 중압감도 떨치고 좋은 원서를 즐거운 마음으로 완성해보고 싶은 생각에 참여 하였습니다. 많이 힘이 되어 주세요

Main character(Momo) : Aside from being rather odd, Momo’s personal appearance   

might well have shocked anyone who set store by looking clean and tidy. She became

so important to them that they wondered how they had ever managed without her in

the past.

What Momo was better at than anyone else was listening. She simply stat there and

listen and they suddenly became aware of ideas whose existence they had never

suspected.

Such way was Momo’s talent for listening.
