줄리는 스케줄대로 나가는데 제가 늦었네요.ㅜ.ㅜ

그레이스는 담주에 개학합니다.   어영부영 여름방학이 다갔네요.  생각보다  덥지 않게 지나간 듯 하죠?

방학숙제걱정은 2기 북클럽 덕분에 덜었어요.  영어 독후감 목록에 이번 뉴베리 책들이 있어서 겸사겸사 끝냈어요. 얼마나 다행인지..... ^^

방학동안 뉴베리를 간신히 읽었는데 학기중에 읽을 정신이 있을까 걱정이네요.

이제 방학이 2주도 안남았네요...좋기도 하고 아쉽기도 하고...ㅎㅎ

모두들 계획한 대로 보람차고 즐거운 방학 보내시기 바래요~~^^

It means fox eyes in their language.

2. Why do you think Karana looked after the Otter?

Because it was wounded and it was still a baby.

So I think she had pity on it and looked after it.

3. What was the name of the thing Karana used to catch the wild dogs and what does it do? It is called xuchal. It is made of sea shells and wild tobacoo. It makes the drinker sleep.

4. 'Dolphins rose out of the sea and swam before the ship.' This is a sentence from the book. Do you think it has any meaning? Why or why not?

I think the dolphins have a meaning. I think it means freedom after all the troubles and sadness.

5. What do you think Karana have done if the white

mans have not come for her? Will she stay in the island, or will she build a new canoes and get of

the island? Write your opinion.

I think she will leave the island on her own to

meet the new world and to now what had happen to the rest of the tribe.
