책과 나의 궁합에 한몫하는것 같다.Winner of 6 National Awards:Benjamin Franklin Award "Best Children's Book" Joan Fassler Award for an Outstanding Contribution to Family Parents' Choice Recommended Parent Council "Outstanding" Selection American Bookseller "Pick of the Lists" Children's Book Center "Our Choice"
Something to Remember Me By(2003년 3월생/1999 5월생)by Susan V. Bosak with illustrations by Laurie McGaw 맞닿은 뺨에서부터 대칭으로 똑같다.. Synopsis:Winner of six national awards, this heartwarming bestseller for children, grandchildren, mothers, and grandmothers is about love and legacies across generations. Says one reviewer,"Something to Remember Me By has the emotion of Love You Forever, the inspiration of Chicken Soup for the Soul, and the charm of a Norman Rockwell painting. The story begins as a grandmother and her young granddaughter share special times filled with"big warm smiles, and warm snuggly hugs." Many visits end with the grandmother's familiar words,"I want to give you something to remember me by." Then she gives her granddaughter a small keepsake. As the years pass, the keepsakes fill a cedar chest with memories, as it becomes clear that one gift is most precious of all -- the gift of love.Beautifully illustrated with rich watercolor paintings, this book is the perfect way to say "I love you." Something to Remember Me By~먹다 남음 그만주면 될텐데...
"You're the best grandmother in the whole world!"the little girl would say.The grandmother would smile a big, warm smile and give her grandaughter a warm, snuggly hug. Something to Remember Me By를 펼쳐들고 펑펑 울면서...
Says Susan, "To me, a cedar chest is much more than just a piece of furniture. It's the heart of a home, a place to keep your most precious keepsakes and bring the generations in your family closer together."
Once, the girl asked why her grandmother gave her all these things to Remember her by.The grandmother smiled a big, warm smile and gave her grandaughter a warm, snuggly hug."Because everyone wants to be Remembered," said the grandmother simply. The girl didn't quite understand. There was a note with the cushion:"Something to Remember me By "시간이 흐르면서 할머니는 점점 들리는것,손을 움직이는것,뭔가를 만드는것...
AS THE YOUNG WOMAN glanced up from the cedar chest,She noticed her reflection in the dresser mirror. She got up and went to the mirror. She looked closely. She looked for a long time. And then she smiled a big, warm smile - her grandmother's smile. What a wonderful book! I came across "Something to Remember Me By" in the library. The words of the story, combined with the beautiful illustrations, are just perfect at capturing the importance of the grandparent/grandchild relationship. It brought back so many fond memories of my own grandmother, and the story is quite similar to my own daughter's relationship with my mother I immediately bought copies of the book for me, my mother, and my grandmother. It's definitely a book you share. My mother and grandmother liked it so much they recommend it to all their friends. Buy it now for your mother or grandmother! Something to Remember me By What a touching story !. The illustrations compliment the text beautifully.I am a nurse in an Extended Care Facility, and have added this book to our selection of books available to both family and staff for coping with, and understanding aging. It was so simple ,yet so deep, when the grandaughter wrote her name on the back,of her photo so that her grandmother could remember her. To me, that was the gift. The photo with the name on it triggered both memories and in turn smiles, that nothing else could have. This book helps one to realize, that treasured memories are ageless. A Must-Have for Everyone! This is one of the most moving books I've ever read! For anyone with a grandmother in the family, this book is a must for both children and adults. It says so much in such few pages. Each word and accompanying illustration is exquisite. It's sure to become a classic, and it should be on every children's book collector's shelf.Share This Book With Someone You Love, I bought this book for my mother-in-law, because having three daughters, this was the perfect gift for her. This book presents the story of a grandmother and granddaughter over the years. It is a wonderful story that celebrates the special connections and memories that span across generations. This short book emphasizes the little things that truly matter most. The illustrations are truly incredible, and extremely realistic. This story is quite satisfying and will bring a tender joy to your heart. Susan Bosak uses a poignant, candid language that allows the nice story to shine through. It is just something that should be share with as many generations within your family as possible.
