Clouds

Deion

Cirrus

They are white and feathery and they are the highest clouds.

Cumulus

Cumulus clouds are puffy and look like cauliflowers. They have flat bottoms. They are always changing shape and are low down in the sky.

Stratus

Stratus clouds are low. They look like wide blankets of gray and are sometimes called “high fogs.” Drizzle or snow flurries may fall from them.

Cirrocumulus

Cirrocumulus clouds are small, fleecy masses that are hard to see. They are very high up in the sky. Some people call them “mackerel sky.” The French call them “moutons,” which means sheep.

Cirrostratus

Cirrostratus clouds are high up. They cover the sky in thin, milky-white sheets. Cirrostratus clouds are sometimes called “bed-sheet clouds.”

Altostratus

Altostratus clouds look like sheets of gray or blue, and rain or snow may fall from them.

Altocumulus

Altocumulus clouds look like cirrocumulus clouds, but the puffs are much larger. They are gray or whitish and if you walk underneath them, you might feel some drizzle or snow flurries.

Nimbostratus

Nimbostratus clouds are steady rain or snow falls from them. They are easy to see because they are heavy and dark.

Stratocumulus

Stratocumulus clouds look like rolls of blackfish or bluish clouds, but they are not really rain clouds. They are often seen in the winter

Cumulonimbus

Cumulonimbus clouds are the kind of clouds you see during a thunderstorm. They look like mountains of very tall cumulus clouds.

Fog is a cloud made of water droplets that form at ground level.

Banner clouds are looks like a banner.

Boa clouds are looks like a snake.

Clouds are little drops of water or ice hanging in the upper atmosphere high above the earth.

 

2. What are different kinds of clouds. Name all clouds you can remember from the book.

Cumulus, stratus, cirrus, cirrostratus, nimbostratus

3. Write about the Native Americans’ cloud story.

The Native Americans saw thunderbirds in the dark storm clouds.

4. Write about Labrador’s story about fog?

In Labrador, which is way up north, people believed that fog was caused by a white bear who drank too much water and burst

5. Write some sayings that tell about the weather.

In the morning, mountains. In the evening, fountains!’

6. Write three sentences using [If you verb~, you might Verb~.]

e.g.) If you walk underneath the clouds, you might feel some drizzle.

If you walk on the mountain you might feel hard.

If you go to the space you might feel happy.

If you go to the sea you might feel scared.

미르 안녕 오랜만에 보는거 같기도 하고,,,
요번에엔,쓸게 많았지? 이렇게 작가의 글을 배껴쓰는게 싫을수도 있지만 좋은 방법이 되기도 한단다..
