school bus는 scholastic사의 donald crews작으로 우리아이들의 유치원버스를 연상케합니다.school bus는 for the buses,the riders,and the watchers즉 버스와 아이들 그리고 이를 지켜보는이들을 중심으로 이야기는 펼쳐집니다.책전체가 노란 학교 버스로 구성되어있어 특히 자동차를 좋아하는 아이에게 무척 흥미로울 것입니다. D.C는 노란학교버스를 통해 일상속에 무심코 지나쳐버리는 작은것에 세상읽기를 가르쳐 줍니다.학교버스는 아이들의 하루를 열어주면서 복잡한 시내 도로에 들어서면 마치 무언의 규칙을 가르치듯 가다서다를 반복합니다.그리고 노란색으로 경종을 울리듯 무사히 학교에서 또 집으로 아이들을 실어 나릅니다. 다양한 기법으로 노란학교버스는 앞면,뒷면,옆면,측면까지 소홀할수 밖에없는 버스의 다양한 모양새를 보여줍니다.큰버스와 작은 버스 또 오가는 버스들..책 한권으로 버스의 전면을 볼수 있고 어쩌면 주인공이라 할수 있는 버스의 일상을 한눈에 볼수 있어 좋습니다 .내용면에서도 간단하지만 상황에 너무나 잘맞는 적절한 표현으로 쉽게 아이와 놀아줄수 있는 책인것 같습니다. 이책을 보면서 아이와 다시금 아이가 타는 스쿨버스에 대해 또 가장 가까이 있으면서도 별 관심을 두지 못하는 우리 주위의 것들이 우리에게 얼마나소중한것인가를 한번더 생각하게 합니다. 1.내용읽기와 아이와 이야기하기. yellow school buses.:노란 학교 버스가 있습니다. large and small.;큰버스와 작은 버스들이 있지요. sang woo,what can you see in this page? i can see buses. what color is this bus? yellow bus. have you gotten on the bus? yes i have. how many buses are there? let's count ..one two three... 32buses. which one do you like? large buses. empty yellow buses cross the town ;텅빈 노란학교버스가 시내를 통과합니다. stop ;멈춥니다. go:출발합니다. sang woo, who is in the bus? nobody.bus is empty. what can you see in this page? yellow bus is crossing the town. what else.? i can see,a traffic light,truck,builing .. when does the bus stop? after the traffic light turns red. when does it go? after it turns green. going this way.;이길로 갑니다. going that way.:저길로 갑니다. here it comes.:버스가 옵니다. see you later:잘 다녀오세요. sang woo, do you know the way to your kindergarten? yes i do. show me the way go straight along this street. and turn left. it's on the right there. good job where is there? school bus stop what are they doing? they are waiting for the school bus. what is daddy doing? daddy is shaking his hand. what does he say? see you later. full buses head for school.:아이들로 꽉찬 버스는 학교를 향해 갑니다. here we are.:다 왔습니다. right on time :정각에 도착했습니다. empty buses wait.:텅빈 버스가 아이들을 기다리고 있습니다. school's over:수업이 끝났습니다. sang woo, where is the yellow bus going to? head for school. how far is it from? i think... about 20minutes. what can you see in this page? children are getting off the bus. full buses cross the town :아이들로 꽉찬 버스가 시내를 통과합니다. home again.;다시 집으로 왔습니다. home again sang woo where is there? the town where to? home.
