SSC #4 The Little Marzipan Man
외국 구전 동화는 우리에게 그닥 흥미를 주지 못하는 경우가 종종있으니
생강쿠키맨 얘기가 제게는 그렇습니다. (첨부된 얘기 읽어보세)
저로서는 단지 쿠키가 살아 움직인다는 발상 외에 생강쿠키맨은 별 흥미가 없습니다.
자기의 능력을 믿고 너무 으스대지 말라, 아무개를 무턱대고 믿으면 안된다 는
등의 교훈이 있긴합니다만.
그러나 이건 저의 생각이고 아이들의 생각을 물어봐주세요.
그 얘기를 패러디한 마지팬 맨을 어떻게 재미있는 글쓰기로 연결할까 고민스러웠네요. ㅋㅋ
참, marzipan이란 아몬드 가루를 설탕에 개어 만든 쿠키류를 말합니다.
1. 4번 반복해 읽고 그래프 그리기. 큰소리로 읽고 그것도 반복해 읽는다는데 의의가 있습니다.
2. 구전동화와 SSC 비교. 전혀 다른 발상이 들어있습니다. 그걸 짚어내는지 궁금합니다.
3. 이야기를 새로 써봅니다. 나를 먹어달라는 애원을 '나와 놀아달라'는 문장으로 바꾸면 새로운 얘기가되겠지요. 제가 어떤 노인이 못난이 나무인형을 만들었는데 그게 살아났다는 서두를 써놓았습니다.
아이들이 책을 참조하여 등장인물, 전치사, 장소 등을 모방해서 쓰도록 지도해주세요.

2. Read the Gingerbread Man(GB) attached and compare it with our Little Marzipan Man(MM). Finish the sentences below.

3. Let’s change the story in a different way. The Marzipan Man kept asking others to eat him, saying, “Eat me!” Can you change it to “Play with me!” Then the whole story should be shaped in a different way. I wrote the beginning like this. You finish the story on your own. Use the characters in the book such as monkeys, giants, etc. Use the place names where the MM past chasing after them. Be sure to write how the main character feels.
One day a lonely old man made a wooden doll using a crooked board in his backyard. His wife said, “Yikes! It’s too ugly and shabby. Nobody would want to play with it.” When the man finished the doll, it became alive and said.......
