Hey everyone, it has been a while.
Sorry I couldn't post the new questions last week.
I had to prepare for college admission tests (SATs).
I actually just took the SAT yesterday.
WOW!! I never knew that tests could be that hard.
Well, you guys are lucky because this assignment won't be that hard.
This was a great story that touched my heart.
I hope you guys learn a lot from Shakespeare's masterpiece, the Tempest.
Remember, always look up for difficult words.

이번 스토리는 어려운 단어가 별로 없었다면서 하던데 제가 책내용을 몰라서 잘 한건지 모르겠습니다.

I. Reading Comprehension
Answer the following questions below.
1. Why does Caliban want independence from Prospero? What prevents Caliban from being the king of the island?
Caliban’s mother Sycorax promised him to be king of the island but Prospero used him as a servant.
2. How does Prospero and his daughter, Miranda arrive on this island? What promise does Prospero make with Ariel when Prospero leaves the island?
When Prospero was the Duke of Milan, Antonio plotted secretly against him with Prospero’s old enemy, King Alnoso of Naples. They overthrew him, and they put Prospero in a boat with her daughter. But they landed on the island
And he found Sycorax’s magic books and became a great wizard
Prospero made a promise to if the plan is well done, he will break the spell, and Ariel would be free
3. Miranda and Ferdinand fall in love at first sight. How does Prospero get them to fall in love?
Prospero made Miranda fall into sleep. Then, he ordered Ariel to find prince Feridinand and bring him to where he is. Instead, they made a promise to if Prospero’s plan is done Ariel will be free.
4. How do Antonio and Prospero meet again? Why do they agree to rule Milan together again?
Prospero sent a violent storm to make Antonio and king Alonso wash up on the beach.
King Alonso also thought that Ferdinand died.
They found a clearing, and when they reached it, they found lots of delicious foods.
But there came Ariel transformed as a harpy.
He hypnotized them, and brought them to Prospero.
Antonio couldn’t meet Prospero’s eyes
But Prospero forgave him. They agreed to rule Milan in peace
II. Free Response Question
This story made me pleased because two brothers forgave each other and promised each other peace. But what really interested me was the storm that knocked over King Alonso and Antonio’s ship. Why do you think Prospero let the men of that ship all survive on his island? How does the title “The Tempest” have a connection to the story?
I think “The Tempest” is connection story.
