아래의 질문에 달았다가 옮깁니다. 깐돌엄마는 아니지만 제가 알고있는 것이어서.... 영영사전의 뜻을 살펴보면 Pupa : an insect in the non-feeding, usually immobile, transformation stage between the larva and the adult. Chrysalis : The hard shelled pupa of a moth or butterfly Caterpillar : The larva of butterfly or a moth, having biting mouthparts, a long segmented body with several paris of legs and prolegs, and a spinneret Larva : the immature, wingless, feeding stage of an insect that undergoes complete metamorphosis 입니다. 차이가 감이 잡히시나요? 아하! 모든 곤충의 유년기로 움직이고 영양을 섭취할 수 있는 시기의 것을 larva로 통칭하고 그중에서도 나방이나 나비의 유충으로 마디가 있는 것을 caterpillar라고 합니다.
