What's up everyone! I'm back! It's been such a while.I've noticed that things have been very well in this group.I guess Alex has been running this very well; I'm glad.I hope this bookclub is still high in participation!By the way, congrats on getting a separate page as 17±â
While I've been gone, I thought of some stories to you.Well, I've come up with one. It's about a student at my school.His name is Jacob Rainey, and he is one outstanding man.
Jacob was a great American football player. As a quarterback, he had a future and was about to get recruited by very good universities such as the University of Virginia and Duke.However, last year in our school's first football game of the season, Jacob had gotten a significant injury and needed surgery.It all seemed fine after the surgery, but it wasn't so.The Doctors had declared that his leg had gotten so worse that it needed amputation; basically he had to cut his leg.It was heartbreaking to watch such an athlete with a great future ending his career.
However, when everyone thought it would be over, Jacob stood up.
Though he had to use a prosthetic leg (ÀÇÁ·), he believed he could still play.After he could begin to walk again with his prosthetic leg, Jacob started to train.He trained hard for months and doctors said he could play again.Though football is a very rough sport, Jacob stood up for the challenge.
His season began in September as one of our team captains, and though he didn't play much, Jacob was still cheered on and was applauded.Recently, he threw two touchdowns in our school's biggest rival football game that we won 44-14.I think it's amazing how a one legged person can play football and not give up.I take three classes with Jacob and it is heartbreaking and sad to watch him walk with his prosthetic leg, but I really respect the guy for his courageousness and tenacity.I just wanted to share my story about Jacob with you.
