항상 느끼는 바지만 글을 쓰는 것은 참 어렵습니다.

특히나 쑥같은 공개 게시판에는 더더욱.

글하나 올려야지하고 내용을 머릿속으로 정리하면서도

운을 어떻게 띄우나 항상 고민이 되는 거 보면

어른들에게도 쉽지 않은게 글쓰기인데, 아이들에게도 마찬가지일 듯 합니다.

지난번 글에 올렸던 것처럼

아이는 한달간 청* 어학원 방학 특강을 거부감없이 잘 다녔습니다.

교재는 지루했지만 소문대로 수업은 희안하게 재미있어했고

겨울방학때. 스피킹 특강은 같은선생님 반으로 꼭 다시 보내달라고 하네요.

다독특강은 교재가 재미가 없어서 생각을 좀 해봐야겠답니다.

짧은 스토리 지문을 돌아가면서 읽고 시퀀스로 분해해서 적어보고

서술식의 문답 문제도 풀어보는 독해수업이었는데

쑥쑥북클럽에서 비슷한 형태의 독해활동들이, 다양하고 더 재밌는 교재들로 진행되고 있어

분석적인 글쓰기와 독해를 접하고 싶으시다면 학원대신 쑥쑥북클럽에 등록하셔도 좋을 것 같아요.

다만 이런 유형의 독해는, 책을 많이 읽은 아이들은 나중에라도 언제든지 훈련이 가능하고

다독으로 저절로 얻을수도 있는 부분이라, 지나치게 어린 나이부터 연습할 필요는 없을 듯 합니다.

DVD시청을 제외하면 하루 한시간남짓한 엄마표영어 시간을. 읽기와 듣기에 주력하다보니

엄마표의 강점인 읽기와 듣기는 꾸준히 올라가는 반면

엄마표의 위크포인트인 쓰기와 말하기는 여전히 뒤쳐져 있습니다.

다행히 아이가 이야기 짓기를 좋아해서, 한달에 한두번 두어페이지씩 끄적거리는

자유영작으로 쓰기는 명맥을 유지하는 형편입니다.

할애하는 시간은 부족하지만, 쓰기도 읽기가 올라감에 따라 조금씩 따라 발전하고 있는 것 같아,

부끄럽지만 쑥쑥에 한번 올려봅니다.

올초 1-2월 경에 쓴 8페이지의 소설입니다.

무지개색의 행성들을 돌아다니며 모험을 하는 내용인데 blue planet까지 쓰다가 말았네요.

틀린 스펠과 어법 그대로 그대로 도입부만 옮겨봅니다.

Sara's fantasy adventures in rainbow planet.

""Argh! is there any place boring than here?" Sara thought.

"Sara, time for lunch!" her mother called out.

Sara stomped her feet and climbed up to her tree house.

"Just one more hour!" She yelled back.

'maybe' she thought looking out the window.

Outside there were some apples smiling at her and the sun whispering to her: Go, sara go!

Maybe she could escape into somewhere, somwhere nobody could find her, a fantasy word!

At that very moment, a golden horse sped by.

Sara scurried down the ladder and grabed it and climbed on.

She fell asleep.

After a few minutes, she woke up.

She was craddled up in a giant shell starting to float in the sea.

"Oh no!" She cried but it was too late.The shell already left the shore.

So she waited and she finally noticed that it was not only floating on the waves on the sea but whole

universe.

Then she floated closer to the sun.

"Ah!. It's too hot!" Sara said.

She closed the shell and carved a little hole to see better.

(She had toy clay knife in her pocket.)

She leaned beside it. The shell began to shook harder and harder.

It turnd upside down.

and she fell...

이건 올4-5월경에 쓴 소설입니다.

네페이지째 쓰다가 미완성이네요.

Princesses of Rose street

Three children walked out of Rose street.

They were Olivia May, Julia May, Jessica May.

They were princesses but even if they were princesses,humans are humans. right?

So they got bored.

"Hey! There is a cave!" said Olivia the yongest. "Let's go that way!"

Julia the prettest smiled.

She caght a disease when she was yong, so she could'nt talk.

There really was a triangular shaped cave.So they went into the cave.

But when they only put their left foot in the cave, the ground began to spin

and they fell down, down, down..

이건 이번 여름방학때 시작한 소설인데

미완성이고 지금도 가끔씩 한페이지씩 쓰고 있는 중이예요.

Amber라는, 요정들이 사는 섬의 Nimpendo라는 마을에서 일어나는 이야기입니다.

Nimpendo and Amber : the world of fantasy

At night, I was goint to England when the airplane I was riding fell into the sea.

Everyone drowned, except for me.

I landed safely at an area beside north koria, which later turned out to be 'Amber'.

Fairys were very surprized to see me.

They gave me a white dress.

It looked like just plain dress to me, but when I tried it on, It grew wings and

silver laces(which looked like waves) appeared.

That dinner, I was invited to a feast and fairys celebrated my arrival, including a little girl

named Lillly who brought me a tray full of cheese cakes.

I was so hungry that I almost forgot to say thank you and when I was sleeping,

they put me in a village called Nimpendo.

It was christmas at Amber and I flew faster than ever to catch up the feast.

Suddenly my wing caught a branch and I fell to the road.

I couldn't fly back because I was so scared.

Soon, I found myself siting in a drive way, thinking 'I hope this rode is safe?'

A car drove right toward me.

five secends and I was about to be a pan cake.

Five...is that fairy flying over there a girl?

Four.. wait. is she trying to save me?

Three.. she looks familiar!

Two...Lilly!!

One secend and I was about to be a pan cake but Lily instantly pulled me out of drve way.

Then I burst into tears but I managed to wail.

"Lily. I can't go to the feast. My wing is torn..."

Lily grined " You might have if I hadn't brought Mary!"

"Who?" I asked.

A sudden 'nigh~~~' made me turn around and see a white pony with a silver tail and

baby pink legs and most of all, a pair of violet wings.

"get on! I can fly since my wings are good as new." said Lily.

I huged her warmly."No It's unfair. you can ride too."

So we arrived at the feast.

Annare(the princess of Nimpendo) fixed my wing and I brushed Mary's tail.

It was a great party.

"Emmy!" That was my new pony's name.

"Emmy, quit staring out the window. It's raining!" said Lilly.

"Eco!" I shouted, pointing my wand at the window.

Instantly, the rain stoped

"Let's go to play at the beach!"

We promised not to get wet since we had to go to the feast.

Emmy, however, gelloped around until he charged right into Lilly.

"No.no! stop please don't." Lilly shriked. Then.. splash! Lilly groaned.

"Your clothes are all wet" I said "Say sory. Emmy."

Now the pony way flying (looking half scared, half angry) this way and that way.

아직 Korea도 koria로 쓸 정도로 쉬운단어의 spelling 오류가 눈에 띄지만

조금씩 줄어들고 있고, 더디게나마 문장들도 나아지는 것 같습니다.

이런 유형의 글쓰기도 있으니, 이야기 만들기를 좋아하는 아이라면 한번 시도해보셔요.

참고로,결과물에 상관없이 무조건 잘썼다고 칭찬 한바가지씩 퍼부어 주셔야하고

첨삭은 금물입니다.

스펠링.어법 교정하겠다고 덤비면 저희 아이는 몇달간 절필(?)을 합니다.

스피킹은 아직도 답보상태입니다.

하고자 하는 말은 쉬운 영어로 어느정도 표현하지만 속도가 느리고,

머릿속으로 어법에 맞게 생각해서 말하느라 말이 나오기까지 시간이 좀 걸립니다.

읽고 듣기만 했는데 말도 좔좔 나오더라.는 저희집에는 해당하지 않는 것 같습니다.

영어에 투자한 절대시간이 아직 많지 않아서인 것 같기도 합니다.

회화에 도움이 되길 바라며 구매한 Adventure of Tintin시리즈입니다.

영어교육에 있어 덜 선호되는 매체지만, 만화속에는 대화체가 가득합니다.

틴틴시리즈는 약어. 비속어가 적고 비교적 완전한 문장의 대화체에,

세계각국의 문화에 대한 상식도 덤으로 얻을 수 있습니다.

예전부터 눈여겨보다가 어느 사이트에서 반값세일을 하는 통에 질러버렸네요.

내용도 영어문장들도 쉽지 않지만, 한글책으로 재미있게 읽은 기억이 있어서,

회화에 도움이 좀 되는지 나중에 후기도 올려보겠습니다.

구하기가 쉽지 않은데 수입 DVD를 파는 사이트에서 구할수 있습니다.

지난 3년간의 엄마표영어를 돌아볼때, 후회가 없는 부분은 초기에 그림책 열심히 읽어준 점이예요.

방학전 모학원 테스트에서 그래머가 완벽하다는 평가를 받았는데

문법을 따로 공부한 적이 없음에도, adverb나 adjective가 뭔지 몰라도

직관으로 문법문제를 맞추고 문법적으로 오류가 적은 글을 쓰는 점을 늘 신기하게 생각하고 있습니다.

그림책 반복해서 읽으며 그 안의 어휘와 내용을 완전히 흡수하던 시기에

영어문장의 구조에 대한 이해가 상당부분 틀이 잡히지 생각합니다.

또 하나, 모든 영어책은 지금까지도 어깨를 나란히 하고 함께 읽고 있습니다.

지금은 소리를 틀어놓고 듣지만, 재미있는 대목에선 마주 보고 웃기도 하고

이해가 안되는 부분은 잠시 멈추고 부연설명으로 이해를 도울수도 있고

사전찾는것을 귀찮아하는 아이에게, 모르는 단어는 뜻을 간단히 언급해줄 수도 있습니다.

아이가 책을 재미있어하는지, 이해는 제대로 하고 있는지도 파악이 되고

더 좋은 건 책을 덮은후 내용에 대해 간단히 이야기도 나눌수 있습니다.

스스로 붙잡고 읽는 영어책은 여전히 코믹한 내용의 책들에 한정이 되어 있지만

아이가 엄마와 함께 책을 보는 시간을 좋아해서

올해, 어쩌면 내년까지도 침대맡에서 함께 책읽는 시간을 계속 유지해야 할 것 같아요.

그외 생활면에서는,또래에 비해서도 철딱서니가 없어

옷도 벗어 여기저기 던져놓기 일쑤고, 엄마말은 매일 한귀로 흘리는지라

하루에 몇번씩 지지고 볶고 사네요.

글이 엄청나게 길어졌네요.

쑥쑥은 저장기능이 있어 글을 짬짬히 이어 쓸수 있어 좋습니다.

진행기가 요즘들어 많이 뜸해졌는데, 다양한 진행기가 올라왔으면 하는 바램입니다.
