지난 시간에는 단수명사와 복수명사의 사용에 대해 알아보았습니다.
그럼 지난 시간에 배운 내용을 복습해 볼까요?

Rule #1
The plural of nouns is usually formed by adding - s to a singular noun.
Rule #2
Nouns ending in s, z, x, sh, and ch form the plural by adding - es.
Rule #3
Nouns ending in - y preceded by a consonant is formed into a plural by changing - y to - ies.
Rule #4
Nouns ending in y preceded by a vowel form their plurals by adding - s.
Rule #5
Some nouns ending in f or fe are made plural by changing f or fe to - ves.

오늘은 명사란 무엇인가, 일반 명사와 고유명사, 그리고 대명사의 주격사용에 대해 알아보도록 합지요.

먼저, 명사란 무엇인가를 알아보도록 하겠습니다.

What is a noun? A noun is a word that names a person, place, or thing.

What is a comon noun? A common noun names any person, place, or thing.

What is a proper noun? A proper noun names a special person, place, or thing.

What is a pronoun? A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun.

1. 명사란 사람, 장소 그리고 물건의 이름을 의미합니다.

A noun is a word that names a person, place or thing.

person : 사람의 이름, 직업, 호칭을 모두 의미 ex) brother, teacher, you
place : 장소, 건물, 나라 등 ex) Korea, school, playground
thing : 동물, 식물, 영화, 물건 등 ex) pencil, monkey, tree

2. 일반명사와 고유명사에 대해 알아봅시다.

1. Common Names
A common noun names any person, place or thing.

2. Propper Names
A proper noun names a special person, place or thing.
A proper noun always begins with a capital letter.

어떤 특정한 인물, 장소, 사물을 나타내는 명사를 고유명사라 하며
고유명사는 항상 대문자로 시작합니다.

3. 그렇다면 대명사는 무엇인가요?

아이들에겐 하단의 표와 같이 알려줄 필요는 아직은 없지만 한 번 정리해 보는 것도 좋을 듯 합니다.
