40	I, Nate the Great, say that my day off is now on.	휴무일이 근무일로 됐다네. 원래 Nate가 휴무라 수색(?)에 참여하지 않았는데 일을 하겠다는 뜻.
42	I never thought that I would ever say that.	Fang을 만나 기뻤다는 말을 하리라고는 생각해 본 적이 없다. Nate는 Fang이 사납게 생긴 개라 별로 좋아하지 않습니다.
43	My cats and I could have found him……	내 고양이들이랑 나랑 Fang을 찾을 수도 있었는데. 난 타고난 탐정이거든. Rosamond가 나서지만 아무도 응수하지 않네요.
44	Or he will go crazy.	그렇지 않으면 Fnag이 난리 칠 거야. 라임을 말할 거라서 그 거 듣고 또 뛰쳐나갈까 봐 부엌에 두라고 합니다.

47	You were!	You were really missing. Fang 쪽에서 봤을 때는 Annie와 Harry가 없어진 것.

49	You did not solve this case fast enough.	너 이 사건을 제 시간에 풀지 못한 거야. 아이스크림이 녹아버렸으니 하는 말입니다.
50	latkes	유태인의 겨울 명절 하누카 때 먹는 감자전인데 꼭 유태인만 먹는 건 아니고 potato pancakes라고도 합니다. 감자를 갈거나 채쳐서 밀가루에 섞어 부치니 우리 감자전과 흡사한테 버터에 굽는 점이 다릅니다. 작가가 Nate를 유태인으로 설정한 건지는 잘 모르겠습니다. 시리즈의 다른 책에서 그런 증거가 또 있다면 모를까.

1	Where did Nate find Fang? He found Fang in the park.	46
2	What was the real clue? What did Fang do when they thought he was missing? The real clue was the dog rhymes. Fang always mixed up the rhymes. When Annie said “Bark, Bark!” to the poodles, Fang went to the park because it was the next line after bark. That is how Nate found Fang in the park.	43-46
3	Why did Nate say “Fang was not really missing.”? Fang thought “Bark!” was just a command which rhymed with “Go to the Park.” He went to the park and waited for Annie and Harry to come. So for Fang, it is the case of missing Annie and Harry.	48
4	What did Nate do to his friends after he solved the case? He made stacks and stacks of latkes for his friends.	50

Last,	He went to park and found Fang because he knew the real clue was the mixed-up dog rhymes.
