Hey guys! It¡¯s us again from Champaign and we are here for thesecond week of our program. We hope that last week¡¯s book was fun andinteresting to read! Let¡¯s jump right into our next novel.

Our second book is The Story of Pinocchio. It¡¯s about a puppet created by a carpenter named Gepetto that doesn¡¯t listen. He runs a way and gets into trouble, but in the end, he learns his lesson and turns into a human! The short answer questions this week ask about what you would do in his shoes, so pay close attention!

The homework this week also has a total of three easy steps.

1. The first step is to read The Story of Pinocchio. Try to read it at least two times, once out loud and once in your head.
2. Next, fill out the worksheet we posted. The worksheet has five parts. There is a vocabulary, multiple choice, simple question, short answer, and a creativity section. Make sure to go back to the book when finding some of the answers. The pictures may help you remember what happened.
3. Take a picture of your worksheet and upload it.

The creative section this week asks you to draw yourself as a puppet. Decide what you are going to be made out of. Make sure to have fun with it and be creative!
