Hey all! It¡¯s Kevin from Champaign, Illinois and I am bringing you this week¡¯s novel and assignment. I hope you all had fun reading Beauty and the Beast last week! Did it end like you thought it would? This week¡¯s story is a little less popular but it¡¯s still a good read.

Our next book is The Wind in the Willows. It¡¯s about Toad and his friends Ratty and Mole, who try to help him, but things don¡¯t go as planned! Toad loves to drive cars and gets into a lot of trouble. Let¡¯s find out what happens to him! A lot of new animals were introduced in this book, and our short answer and creative sections asked about them. Make sure to learn a lot about them!

The homework this week also has a total of three easy steps.

   1. The first step is to read The Wind in the Willows. Try to read it at least two times, once 

       out loud and once in your head.
   2. Next, fill out the worksheet we posted. The worksheet has five parts. There is a

      vocabulary, multiple choice, simple question, short answer, and a creativity section.

      Make sure to go back to the book when finding some of the answers. The pictures may

      help you remember what happened.
   3. Take a picture of your worksheet and upload it.

The creative section this week asks you to draw The animal that you decided to research. Some good choices are: the toad, the weasel, the stoat, the otter, and more

I hope that you all have fun reading this week¡¯s novel! I sure had a good time reading it since it brought back memories from the past. When I was your age, I loved to read books, and I read them every day. I hope it¡¯s the same for you guys, and have fun filling this week¡¯s worksheet out! Alright then, we will see you next week~!
