휴가 잘 다녀왔어요.

부산에서 강원도로 가는 길이 정말 멀었지만 너무 좋은 경치에 힘든게 싹 가시더라구요.

한반도 지형 보고 하이원 리조트에서 곤돌라 타고 레알 바이크, 화암동굴, 삼양 대관령 목장 갔다왔어요. 강원도 안에서 이동하는 길도 너무 멋지더라구요.

수학동화 1단계 6권 끝나고 2단계 들어가기 전에 수학 이론 조금 정리할까합니다.

먼저 수에 대해 정리해 봅시다.

Counting Numbers

The set of counting numbers, or natural numbers, begins with the number 1 and continues into infinity.

conting numbers는 우리가 알고 있는 자연수 입니다. natural numbers을 그대로 번역한거죠.

자연수란 1부터 시작해서 무한대로 계속 셀 수 있는 수죠. (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ...)

Whole Numbers

The set of whole numbers is the same as the set of counting numbers, except that it begins with 0.

범자연수라고 합니다. 자연수에 0만 추가가 됩니다. (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ...)

Rational Numbers

The set of rational numbers includes any number that can be written in the form of a fraction, as long as the denominator is not equal to 0.

0이 아닌 수로 나누어진 수 즉 분수(fraction)로 나타낼 수 있는 유리수를 말합니다.

denominator은 분모를 말합니다. 분수를 나타낼때 분자/분모로 표시하죠.

numerator은 분자 입니다.

Prime Numbers

Prime numbers are counting numbers than can be divided evenly by only two numbers: 1 and themselves.

prime number은 예전에 솟수라고 배웠는데 요즘은 소수로 표기 합니다.

자연수 중에서 1과 자기 자신으로 나누어 지는 수 즉 인자가 둘인 수를 말합니다.

(2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, ...)

Composite Numbers

Composite numbers are all counting numbers that are not prime numbers. In order words, composite numbers are numbers that have more than two factors.

composite number은 합성수로 인자가 둘 보다 많은 수를 말합니다.

(4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, 20, 21, 22, ...)

Even and Odd Numbers

Even numbers include the numbers 0 and 2 and all numbers that can be divided evenly by 2. Odd numbers are all numbers that cannot be divided evenly by 2.

even은 짝수 odd는 홀수예요. 기억하기 좋게 글자 수가 짝수, 홀수로 되어 있어요.

Integers

The set of integers includes 0, all of the counting numbers (called positive whole numbers), and the whole numbers less than 0 (called negative numbers).

integer은 정수 입니다. o을 기준으로 오른쪽은 양의 정수 즉 양수, 왼쪽은 음의 정수 즉 음수.
