Wee Sing Train
Down by the station, Early in the morning,
See the little puffer bellies all in a row.
See the engine driver pull the little handle,
"Chug, chug, toot, toot!" Off we go!
Down by the station, Early in the morning,
See the little puffer bellies all in a row.
See the engine driver pull the little handle,
"Chug, chug, toot, toot!" Off we go!
Cater : Casey, where this should go?
It won't stand up by itself.
Casey : Lean it against the fence in the barnyard.
Cater : That'll work. Thanks.
Casey : This tree's kind of tipsy, too.
Cater : Do you have enough clay hold it up?
Casey : Yeah, I'll just add a little more.
Down by the station, Early in the morning,
See the little puffer bellies all in a row.
See the engine driver pull the little handle,
"Chug, chug, toot, toot!" Off we go!
Casey : Cater, does this fire look O.K.?
Cater : It's little bit big.
But it'll keep them nice and warm at night.
Jeepers! This blackbird won't stand up.
Casey : I'm having a little trouble with the princess.

See the little puffer bellies all in a row.

Chug-a long-a, Chug-a long-a, Chug-a long-a, Chug-a long-a

Casey : You bet! Tusky.
Cater : Wait till you see it.
Tusky : Oh, boy. Superific!
Cubby : You all be very careful.
Casey : We will, Cubby. Don't worry.

Get on board, little children, Get on board, little children,
Get on board, little children, It's time to go explore.
Chugalong : First stop. the range.
Cater&Casey : Oh, wow.
On, give me a home. Where the buffalo roam.
Cater : Yeah! look.
Casey : Guys, cowboys!
And the deer and the antelope play, Where seldom is heard.
A discouraging word, And the skies are not cloudy all day.
Cater&Casey : Hi.
Cowboys : Howdy and sit. Take a load off!
Don't get too close to the fire. It's might hot.
Casey : Oops! Guess! I built the fire too big.
Home, home on the range, Where the deer and the antelope play,
Where seldom is heard, A discouraging word,
And the skies are not cloudy all day.
Cater : That's great!
Tusky : Wow.
Cowboy 1 : Glad you came to visit.
Cowboy 2 : And y'all could sit a spell with us.
Casey : Sure, that song was really beautiful.
Tusky : It sure was.
Cater : You fellas been cowpunching long?
Cowboy 1 : Ever since I remember.
Tusky : Well, uh. I was just a-wondering.
About this cowpunching stuff. I mean, guys.
What's it like being a cowboy?
Cowboy 2 : Well, Let me just tell you about it.
Tusky : O.K.
Oh, come along friends and listen to my tale,
I'll tell you of my troubles on the old Chisolm Trail,
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay, yippy yay
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay.
I started on the trail on June twenty-third,
With a drove of Texas cattle, 2,000 in the herd,
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay, yippy yay
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay.
Casey : Come on.
Tusky : Let's dance.
I'm up in the mornin' before daylight,
And before I sleep, the moon shines bright,
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay, yippy yay
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay.
Oh, it's bacon and beans 'most every day,
I'd as soon be a-eatin' prairie hay,
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay, yippy yay
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay.
My feet are in the stirrups and my rope is on the side,
Show me a horse that I can't ride,
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay, yippy yay
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay.
Chugalong : Oh, where Tusky go?
Cowboy 1 : There he is.
Cubby : Oh! no look! He's right in the middle of all those cattle
Tusky : Hi, Aren't they great? I just love cows.
Casey : Please be careful, Tusky.
Cater : Cow's can be dangerous.
Cowboy 1 : Don't move. Young'un. Keep calm.
Tusky : No problem, guys, I'm fine. These cows like me.
Hey, Watch out! Ouch! That's my foot.
Cows : Moo, Moo.
Tusky : Guys, I think I'm out of here.
Casey : Tusky, Are you O.K.?
Cowboy 1 : Those cattle can get restless.
Cowboy 2 : You're a strange-looking steer to them.
We'll calm them down.
Tusky : Guys, I was just wondering what. It'd be like to be a cowboy.
Chugalong : But it wasn't safe, Tusky.
You shouldn't asked the cowboys if it was O.K.?
Tusky : Yeah, You're right. I guess I should have.
Cater : Did you get hurt?
Tusky : Oh, yes, My foot, My foot, It does hurt.
I'm sure I'll need a note-aid.
Cubby : Oh, I knew it. I knew someone would get hurt!
Get out the frist-aid kit. The note-aid are there.
Casey : Come on, Tusky. Let's fix you up.
Tusky : O.K.
Cater : All right, show me where it hurts, Tusky.
Tusky : Here, right here.
Cater : That's it. All right. Here's the note-aid.
There, Is that better?
Tusky : Thanks, Cubby. I'm glad you care about me.
Chugalong : All right, everyone, Get aboard. Time to move on.
Tusky : There.
Cowboys : Take care now, you hear?
Tusky : Y'all come back and see us again.
Cater&Casey : Bye, thank you.
Cowboys : Bye!

Paper dolls : Here comes sheriff knickerbocker.
Tusky : Wow.
Sheriff knickerbocker : Howdy, floks. How y'all doing.

Sheriff knickerbocker : Thank you, kids. I like to move and groove.
Paper dolls : He sure does. Sheriff knickerbocker,

Sheriff knickerbocker : Sure thing, Gals.
Hey, Mr. Knickerbocker bobbity bop!

Tusky : Oh, no! Help, guys, I'm stuck!
Casey : What happened?
Tusky : Get me down.
Sheriff knickerbocker : Hang on there, Young fella. I'm coming.
Paper dolls : How will we ever get him down?
Casey : Tusky, what are you doing up there?
Tusky : I was just trying to fix the school bell. And just broke it.
Yikes, guys. Get me down.
Sheriff knickerbocker : Hold on tight. We'll think of something.
Paper dolls : How'd you get up there anyway?
Especially without a ladder.
Sheriff knickerbocker : That's what we need, hurry!
Chugalong : Casey, Cater, Come here! Here, use this for a ladder.
Cater : Thanks, Chugalong, This will help.
Tusky : Hurry, guys, Oh, that's great!
Cater : Here sheriff. Use this.
Sheriff knickerbocker : This'll work just dandy.
Tusky : Come on, guys. Hurry! I'll holding on, Oh, deer.
I'm almost down. Thanks, sheriff. Thanks, everybody.
Well, at least I fixed the school bell
Casey : See? Yes, you did a nice job of fixing the school bell.
But that's not the point. Climbing on a roof is dangerous.
You could've been hurt.
Tusky : I know, I'm hurt, See?
Cater : Let's go to Cubby. He's O.K. We'd better going that.
Sheriff knickerbocker : All right now.
Cater&Casey : We'd better go.
Sheriff knickerbocker : Take care.
Tusky : Oh, dear! Oh, my!
I never should have let you out of my sight.
Cubby : Try to be more careful, please.
Tusky : I'll try.
Casey : It's going to be all right, Cubby.
It's just a scratch.
Chugalong : Tusky, fixing the bell was a good idea.
But how you fixed I was not a safe choice.
Tusky : I know.
Chugalong : O.K. Everyone. All aboard. Time to move on. Let's go.
Tusky : Good bye, guys, Bye, sheriff. Bye, paper dolls.
Thanks for everything.
Cater&Casey : Bye, Bye, Sheriff.
Paper dolls : Good bye, guys.
Chug-a-long-a, Chug-a-long-a, Chug-a-long-a, Chug-a-long-a,
Chug-a-long-a, Chug-a-long-a, Chug-a-long-a, Chug-a-long-a,
Toot! Toot!
Engine, engine, oh, so fine, Going down the Wee Sing Line,
See it sparkle, see it shine, Engine, engine, oh, so fine.
Cater : This is full.
Tusky : Yeah, It's great.
Chungalong : Tunnel ahead. A boy?
Tusky : A tunnel. Hey, our tunnel looks real.
Cater : This is going to be great.
Tusky : Oh, boy. Guys. I love tunnels. Superific.
This is niffy.
Casey : Listen to that echo, Hi!
Cater : Ho!
Everyone : Hi! Ho!
Casey : Look at you. Tusky.
Your note-aids are glowing.
Tusky : Look at that.
Everyone : Wow!
Tusky : This is neat.
Chugalong : Next stop, Farmer farn's garden.
Farmer : Oh, now, Broccoli. Hold on there.
Cater : Gee, The vegetables look great, doesn't they?
Casey : Even better than I expected.
Cater : Hi, Farmer farn. Hi, vegetables.
Farmer : Hi, kids. Hi, Tusky.
Tusky : What's going on?
Farmer : I'm trying to get these doggone singing vegetables
to cooperate.
Casey : Singing vegetables?
Cater : I don't know they could sing.
Farmer : You made us, but we have a few surprises.
Anyway, we're trying to sing together here,
and there's a problem.
Tusky : What do you wear?
Farmer : The brown potato loves the music of the George Frideric
Handel fella, and that's all he'll sing. Wait I'll show you.
Let's hear your vibrato, potato.
Potato : Oh, my! Yes! Gladly.
Brown potato, Brown potato, Brown potato, Brown potato, potato.
Brown potato, Brown potato, potato.
Brown potato, Brown potato, Brown potato, Brown potato, potato.
Farmer : Truly unlifting, I do admit.
But red beet here only grooves to rock'n roll.
Give us the beat, beet.
Beet : I'm ready to rock! 1, 2, 3, 4, Come on.
Red beet. Red beet. Red beet. Red beet.
Red beet. Red beet. Red beet. Red beet.
Beet, beet, Yeah, Red beet.
Beet, beet, Red beet.
Red beet. Red beet. Red beet. Red beet. Come on!
Red beet. Red beet. Red beet. Red beet. Wow!
Farmer : Now, that beet really rocks.
Orange carrot absolutely lives for country music.
Won't you share it, Carrot?
Carrot : Yes, Sirriee. I'll sing it for you.
Orange carrot, Orange carrot, Orange carrot, Orange carrot.
Oh, Orange carrot, Orange carrot.
Farmer : Whoo, I can't honestly feel that music.
But then again, there's green broccoli who tatlly lives for
opera. Please, pick a key broccoli.
Broccoli : I prefer the key of C.
Farmer : Yeah, C.
Broccoli, Broccoli, Broccoli, Broccoli, Green broccoli.
Broccoli, Broccoli, Broccoli. Broccoli, Broccoli, Broccoli.
Farmer : Oh, dad gum grand. Dad gum grand.
But we need to share this music together.
Casey : They really are terrific.
Cater : I had no idea, singing vegetables?
Tusky : Superific. But why can't they sing together.
Farmer : But they're just so knock-kneed different.
They all sounded great to me.
Tusky : Why don't they just try it?
Casey : Yeah, why don't they try?
Farmer : By golly, perhaps we should try. O.K., veggies, There we go.
And 1, and 2 ....
Brown potato, Brown potato, Brown potato, Brown potato.
Red beet. Red beet. Red beet. Red beet. Everybody!
Orange carrot, Orange carrot, Orange carrot, Orange carrot.
Broccoli, Broccoli, Broccoli, Broccoli
Farmer : Vegetables, that was show-stopping spectacular.
Vegetables : Hey, Yeah! Fabulous!
Farmer : Oh, well, there's no stopping them now.
This will be a downright grooving garden.
Casey : They really are amazing.
Cater : I had no idea who would ever...
Farmer : Come on, Over to the barnyard.
If you want to treat your ears, to absolute some spine-tingling
music. Let's go!
Tusky : Boy, I love this place.
Casey : It looks pretty good, doesn't it?
Cater : Except look at the old gray mare.
That fence is barely holding her up.
Casey : But what happened to the rest of the animals we put here?
Farmer : That's the spine-tingling part.
Just open those peepers and bend those ears.
Had a little rooster by the barnyard gate,
That little rooster was my playmate,
That little rooster went. Cock-a-doodle doo, dee doo-dle-lee,
Doo-dle lee, doo-dle-lee-doo.
Had a little cow by the barnyard gate,
That little cow was my playmate,
That little cow went. Moo, moo, moo,
That little rooster went. Cock-a-doodle doo, dee doo-dle-lee,
Doo-dle lee, doo-dle-lee-doo.
Farmer : I love these animals. I just love them.
Oh, no, wait, wait. There's more.
Had a little pig by the barnyard gate,
That little pig was my playmate,
That little pig went. Oink, oink, oink,

Wee Sing Train (위씽 기차여행) (1)
Down by the station, Early in the morning,
See the little puffer bellies all in a row.
See the engine driver pull the little handle,
"Chug, chug, toot, toot!" Off we go!
Down by the station, Early in the morning,
See the little puffer bellies all in a row.
See the engine driver pull the little handle,
"Chug, chug, toot, toot!" Off we go!
* puff 훅 불다. puffer는 '훅부는 것' 즉 칙칙폭폭 소리를 내는 증기기관차. 기차를 '칙칙이 폭폭이' 정도로 부르는 귀여운 말이 되겠죠?
* belly 불룩한 배. 기관차가 불룩하게 배가 튀어나온 모양이잖아요. 즉, puffer belly는 배가 불룩하게 튀어나오고 칙칙폭폭 소리를 내는 귀여운 열차의 모양을 표현한 말.
* 활용 tip!
"pull the little handle" 할 때는 손을 위로 들고 뭔가를 잡아당기는 시늉을 하지요. "Chug, chug, toot, toot! Off we go!" 특히 'pull'을 발음할 때 잡아당기는 동작을 강조해서 시작해주고, 'off we go!'
Cater : Casey, where this should go? (Casey,
It won't stand up by itself.(혼자서는 서질 않아.)
Casey : Why don't you lean it against the fence in the barnyard.
Cater : That'll work. Thanks.
Casey : This tree's kind of tipsy, too.(이 나무도 약간 기울었어.)
Cater : Do you have enough clay to hold it up?(나무를 세울 만큼 찰흙이 충분히 있니?)
Casey : Yeah, I'll just add a little more.(응.
* It won't stand up.
The door won't open.
* by oneself. 혼자서 / cf. for oneself (스스로, 혼자 힘으로) / of oneself (저절로)
* enough to (-할만큼 충분히 -하다)
I have enough money to buy it.(그것을 살만큼 충분한 돈이 있다.)
I am strong enough to lift it.(나는 그것을 들어올릴 만큼 충분히 힘이 세다.)
Down by the station, Early in the morning,
See the little puffer bellies all in a row.
See the engine driver pull the little handle,
"Chug, chug, toot, toot!" Off we go!
Casey : Cater, does this fire look O.K.? (Carter,
Cater : It's little bit big.(조금 큰데?)
But it'll keep them nice and warm at night.
Jeepers! This blackbird won't stand up.
Casey : I'm having a little trouble with the princess.(공주도 약간 문제가 있어.)
Down by the station, Early in the morning,
See the little puffer bellies all in a row.
See the engine driver pull the little handle,
"Chug, chug, toot, toot!" Off we go!
Cater : Well, Casey. Are you ready for our adventure?
(Casey,
Casey : For sure.
Cater : How about Tusky? (Tusky도?)
Casey : He's right here, All set to go. (Tusky
I think Chugalong's ready, too.(Chugalong
Cater : And Cubby the caboose. Here comes the train.
Train is a-comin', Oh, yes. Train is a-comin', Oh, yes.
Train is a-comin', Train is a-comin', Train is a-comin', Oh, yes.
Better get your ticket, Oh, yes. Better get your ticket, Oh, yes.( 차표를 가져오렴.)
Better get your ticket, Better get your ticket, Better get your ticket,
Oh, yes.
Oh, yes. Oh, yes. Better get your ticket, Oh, yes.
Get on board, little children, Get on board, little children, (얘들아.
Cater : Ready?
Casey : Yes.
Cater : Let's go.
Casey : Yeah.
Get on board, little children, There's room for many a- more.
Get on board, little children, Get on board, little children,
Get on board, little children, It's time to go explore.
* room 방, 공간, 자리, 여유
* It's time to -할 시간이다.
Chugalong : Get on board, Casey. Come on, Cater. It's time to go.
Casey : We're ready.
Cater : Yeah. me too, guys.
Yes, Sir. We're right on schedule.(그래.
Cubby : There's no time to waste. But don't run it.(낭비할 시간이 없어.
Oh, watch your step.(어, 조심해.)
Cater : Be careful, Tusky.(터스키.
* on schedule 시간표대로.
* watch your step = be careful
Tusky : Oh, guys, look! Good try, Cubby!
Cater&Casey : Wow, this is pretty. Wow, look at the tunnel.
Look at the track.(저 트랙 좀 봐.)
Tusky : There's the bridge!(다리도 있다.)
Casey : Wow.
Tusky : Oh, surperific!(와.
Chug-a long-a, Chug-a long-a, Chug-a long-a, Chug-a long-a
The Wee Sing Train's a-comin', A-comin' round the bend,
Just hear those car wheels rumblin' A-rollin' through the land.
Get on board, little children, Get on board, little children,
Get on board, little children, There's room for many a-more.
Chugalong : Today's adventure is going to be wonderful.
Cubby : I can't wait. I can't wait.(빨리.
Tusky : Did you make places for us to explore?
Casey : You bet! Tusky.(그럼.
Cater : Wait till you see it.(기다리면 볼 수 있을 거야.)
Tusky : Oh, boy. Superific!
Cubby : You all be very careful.(너희 모두 조심해야해.)
Casey : We will, Cubby. Don't worry.
Get on board, little children, Get on board, little children,
Get on board, little children, There's room for many a-more.
Get on board, little children, Get on board, little children,
Get on board, little children, It's time to go explore.
Chugalong : First stop. the range.(첫번째 정거장.
Cater&Casey : Oh, wow.(와!)
On, give me a home. Where the buffalo roam.
Cater : Yeah! look.(야.
Casey : Guys, cowboys!(얘들아.
And the deer and the antelope play, Where seldom is heard.
A discouraging word, And the skies are not cloudy all day.
He seldom goes out.
'where seldom is heard a discouraging word' 이 문장을 분석해보면
'where a discouraging word is seldom heard'가 됩니다.
Cater&Casey : Hi.(안녕하세요.)
Cowboys : Howdy and sit. Take a load off!(여!
Don't get too close to the fire.
Casey : Oops! Guess! I built the fire too big.
* Howdy는 How do you do?의 단축형. 아주 casual하고 카우보이에게 잘 어울리는 말이죠. 여기서 카우보이들이 모닥불을 가리키며 무지하게 덥다고 하는 장면은 앞부분에서 케이시가 모닥불 모형이 너무 크다고 말한 부분과 연결됩니다.
* mighty는 대단히. 매우
Home, home on the range, Where the deer and the antelope play, (목장 위의 집.
Where seldom is heard, A discouraging word,
And the skies are not cloudy all day.(하루종일 구름이 끼지 않는 하늘이 있는 곳.)
Cater : That's great!
Tusky : Wow.(와.)
Cowboy 1 : Glad you came to visit.(너희들이 와줘서 기뻐.)
Cowboy 2 : And y'all could sit a spell with us.
Casey : Sure, that song was really beautiful.
Tusky : It sure was.
Cater : You fellas been cowpunching long?
Cowboy 1 : Ever since I remember.(기억날 때부터 지금까지 죽)
Tusky : Well, uh. I was just a-wondering.
About this cowpunching stuff. I mean, guys. What's it like being a cowboy?(카우보이 일은 어때요?)
Cowboy 2 : Well, Let me just tell you about it.
Tusky : O.K.(좋아요.)
* a spell : 잠시
* cowpunch 소를 치다.
* fellas fellows의 변형으로 남자들을 가리키는 속어 혹은 방언.
* And y'all could sit a spell with us.
즉 앞에 'I 'd be glad' 정도가 생략되었다고 보 는데요.
Oh, come along friends and listen to my tale, (친구들아.
I'll tell you of my troubles on the old Chisholm Trail,(옛날 Chisolm 길에서 고생한 내 얘기를 들려주마.)
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay, yippy yay (카야이 이피 이피 예이 이피 예이 노래를 부르면서)
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay.(카야이 이피 이피 예이 노래를 부르면서)
I started on the trail on June twenty-third,(6
With a drove of Texas cattle, 2,000 in the herd,(텍사스 소떼 이천 마리를 몰고서)
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay, yippy yay
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay.
Chisholm Trail
Casey : Come on.(어서.)
Tusky : Let's dance.(함께 춤 추자.)
I'm up in the mornin' before daylight,
And before I sleep, the moon shines bright,
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay, yippy yay
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay.
Oh, it's bacon and beans 'most every day,(거의 매일 베이컨과 콩만 먹었지.)
I'd as soon be a-eatin' prairie hay,
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay, yippy yay
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay.
My feet are in the stirrups and my rope is on the side,
Show me a horse that I can't ride,(내가 탈 수 없는 말을 보여다오.)
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay, yippy yay
Singin' ki-yi yippi, yippi yay.
It will be long before we meet.
*would as soon + 동사원형 : -하는 게 차라리 낫다
I would as soon die as do it.
* Show me a horse that I can't ride. 내가 탈 수 없는 말은 없다. 잘난 척 하는 말.
Chugalong : Oh, where Tusky go?
Cowboy 1 : There he is.
Cubby : Oh! No. Look! He's right in the middle of all those cattle.
Tusky : Hi, Aren't they great? I just love cows.
Casey : Please be careful, Tusky.
Cater : Cow's can be dangerous.
Cowboy 1 : Don't move. Young'un. Keep calm.(움직이지마.
Tusky : No problem, guys, I'm fine. These cows like me.(문제없어.
Hey, Watch out! Ouch! That's my foot.
Cows : Moo, Moo.
Tusky : Guys, I think I'm out of here.
Casey : Tusky, Are you O.K.?
Cowboy 1 : Those cattle can get restless.(저 소들은 흥분할 수도 있단다.)
Cowboy 2 : You're a strange-looking steer to them.
We'll calm them down.
Tusky : Guys, I was just wondering what. It'd be like to be a cowboy.
Chugalong : But it wasn't safe, Tusky.
You should have asked the cowboys if it was O.K.?
I should have started earlier.
Tusky : Yeah, You're right. I guess I should have.
Cater : Did you get hurt?(다쳤니?)
Tusky : Oh, yes, My foot, My foot, It does hurt.
* It hurts. 아프다 It does hurt.
Do rell me.(꼭 말해줘.)
Do be quiet.(제발 조용히 좀 해.)
I'm sure I'll need a note-aid.(음표반창고가 필요해.)
Cubby : Oh, I knew it. I knew someone would get hurt!
Get out the frist-aid kit. The note-aid are there.
Casey : Come on, Tusky. Let's fix you up.
Tusky : O.K.(알았어.)
Tusky : There.(같이 가.)
Cowboys : Take care now, you hear?
Y'all come back and see us again.(또 만나자.)
Cater&Casey : Bye, thank you.
Cowboys : Bye!(안녕히 계세요.)
Chug-a long-a Chug-a long-a Chug-a long-a Chug-a long-a (칙칙 폭폭 칙칙 폭폭)
Chuggin' along and a-singing a song and a-rollin' along the track.
Chug-a, Chug-a, Chug-a, Chug-a, Chug-a, Chug-a, Chug-a, Chug-a,
Chug-a... Toot! Choo Choo!
Chug-a-Long the Engine and Cubby the Caboose,
Rollin' down the Wee Sing track,
Chuggin' along and singin' a song,
Chug-a-Long in front and Cubby in the back.(처걸롱은 앞에 커비는 뒤에)
Chug-a-Long the Engine and Cubby the Caboose,
Rollin' down the Wee Sing track, Chuggin' along and singin' a song,
Chug-a-Long in front and Cubby in the back.
Chug-a long-a Chug-a long-a Chug-a long-a Chug-a long-a
'in front' 할 때는 확실히 팔을 쭉 뻗어 앞을 가리키고 'in the back' 할 때는 확실히 어깨 넘어 뒤를 가리켜주세요.

Wee Sing Train (위씽 기차여행) (2)
Chugalong : Next stop, frontier town!
Tusky : Superific!
Casey : This is going to be great.
Cater : Yeah.
Casey : Wow, Cater. We did a nice job, didn't we?
Tusky : Yes, Sirree! This looks like my kind of town.
Cater : Yes, It looks good. But see my school bell. It's about to tip over.
Casey : Oh, yeah, Where are the paper dolls?
I thought I put them. Oh, there they'are.
Carter : Let's go watch them.
Casey : O.K.
* be about to 막 ~ 하려고 하다
I was about to go out.
The train is about to leave.
* tip over 기울다
* tip은 기울다, 기울이다의 뜻이 있지요. 이 단어가 <위씽 투게더>에서도 나왔던 걸 기억하시나요? 바로 Sally가 생일파티에서 선물로 받은 차주전자가 노래를 할 때 가사 중에 있었는데.... I'm a little teapot, short and stout....(중간생략) tip me over and pour me out. '물이 끓어올라 소리가 나면 주전자를 살짝 기울여 물을 따라주세요'라는 뜻이잖아요. 이 대목에서 주전자가 물을 따르는 것처럼 몸을 기울이는 율동을 하기도 하지요. 우리 아이는 이 노래의 그 부분 율동을 아주 좋아하는데요. 함께 따라해 주면서 tip을 강조해 발음하면 tip의 의미를 재밌고 쉽게 인지시켜줄 수 있어요.(tip의 발음자체가 짧고 경쾌하기도 하지요.) 위씽 시리즈 중 이렇게 겹치기로 출연하는 단어나 표현은 더욱 인상에 깊게 남습니다.
Put your little foot, put your little foot, Put your little foot right there,
Put your little foot, put your little foot, Put your little foot right there.
Walk and walk and walk and walk and turn,
Walk and walk and walk and walk and turn,
Walk and walk and walk and walk and turn,
Walk and walk and walk and walk and turn.
Paper dolls : Come on! Dance!
Tusky : Yah! That was fun.
Paper dolls : Nicely done.
Cater : Thank you.
Paper dolls : Here comes sheriff knickerbocker.
Tusky : Wow.
Sheriff knickerbocker : Howdy, flocks. How y'all doing?
Tusky : Superific! And you're terrific.
Sheriff knickerbocker : Thank you, kids. I like to move and groove.(고맙다.
Paper dolls : He sure does. Sheriff knickerbocker, How about some. bobbity bop?
Sheriff knickerbocker : Sure thing, Gals.(좋아.
* knickerbocker 뉴욕에 이민 온 네덜란드인들의 후손.
* groove 홈을 파다. 재미있고 신나게 놀다
* groove는 재즈 용어로 빠르고 고조된 연주를 뜻합니다. 그만큼 신나게 즐긴다는 뜻이죠. 여기서 니커버커 보안관이 groove라는 단어를 쓴 것은 casual한 표현임과 동시에 곧이어 그가 부를 노래가 '바바디 밥' 리듬을 가미한 일종의 재즈이기 때문이기도 합니다. 니커버커라는 등장인물, 그가 부르는 재즈리듬의 노래 모두 미국 역사의 산물이지요. 'bobbity bop'은 일종의 여흥구로 유명한 밥재즈 노래가사에서도 흔히 볼 수 있습니다. 노래 중에 '삐빠빠 룰라'라는 가사가 있잖아요. 모두다 bebop계열의 리듬이에요.
* gal = girl
Hey, Mr. Knickerbocker bobbity bop!
I feel so good with my bobbity bop,
I put that beat right into my feet.

* 신나는 노래죠? 노래의 얼개를 보면 보안관이 춤을 추면서 각각 자신의 신체 일부분에 박자를 넣어 그 부분을 꺾어가며 춤을 추는 겁니다. 이때 발, 무릎, 엉덩이, 어깨 등의 신체를 가리키는 말을 익힐 수 있지요. <위씽 투게더>의 '머리 어깨 무릎 발 무릎 발' 노래보다 훨씬 빠르고 노래도 어렵죠. 대신 노래가 대화형으로 되어 있고, 또 신체일부분을 말한 다음에 그 부분을 꺾어가며 춤을 추는 장면이 있으니까 오히려 신체부분이 강조가 될 수 있어요. 엄마랑 같이 노래를 부르고 춤을 추면서 어깨춤을 출 때는 'shoulder'를 크게 발음해주시고 무릎에 박자를 넣을 때는 'knee'를 강조해주는 식으로 하면 신체부분을 재밌게 배울 수 있어요. 노래 가사에 등장하지 않는 부분도 첨가시켜 보세요. 예를 들면 입에 박자를 넣는다고 해보세요. 상당히 재밌는 표정이 나오겠죠? ^^ 아이가 뒤집어지며 웃더군요.
* 활용예문
I put that beat right into my mouth.
I put that beat right into my arms.
I put that beat right into my eyes.
I put that beat right into my head.
I put that beat right into my waist.
Get me down.(어흐.
Sheriff knickerbocker : Hold on tight. We'll think of something.
Paper dolls : How'd you get up there anyway?
Especially without a ladder.(사다리도 없잖아요.)
Sheriff knickerbocker : That's what we need, hurry!
Chugalong : Casey, Cater, Come here! Here, use this for a ladder.
엄마 : What's this? What do you think this is?
It's a track.
Yes, it is. The train is rolling along the track.
Then, what's this?
It's a ladder.
OK. We use this to climb on a roof.
What's this?
It's a bridge.
Good. Let's put this bridge across(over) the river.
Cater : Thanks, Chugalong, This will help.
Tusky : Hurry, guys, Oh, that's great! 와.
Cater : Here sheriff. Use this.
Sheriff knickerbocker : This'll work just dandy.
Tusky : Come on, guys. Hurry! I'm holding on, Oh, deer.
I'm almost down.
Thanks, sheriff. Thanks, everybody.
Well, at least I fixed the school bell. See?
Casey : Yes, Tusky. you did a nice job of fixing the school bell.
But that's not the point. Climbing on a roof is dangerous.
You could've been hurt.
Tusky : I know, I am hurt, See?
Cater : Let's go to Cubby. He's O.K. We'd better get going that.
Sheriff knickerbocker : All right now.
Cater&Casey : We'd better go.
Sheriff knickerbocker : Take care.
Cubby : Oh, dear! Oh, my!
I never should have let you out of my sight.
Try to be more careful, please.
Tusky : I'll try.
Casey : It's going to be all right, Cubby.
It's just a scratch.
Chugalong : Tusky, fixing the school bell was a good idea.
But how you fixed it was not a safe choice.
Tusky : I know.
Chugalong : O.K. Everyone. All aboard. Time to move on. Let's go.
Tusky : Good bye, guys, Bye, sheriff. Bye, paper dolls.
Thanks for everything.
Cater&Casey : Bye, Bye, Sheriff.
Paper dolls : Good bye, guys.
Chug-a-long-a, Chug-a-long-a, Chug-a-long-a, Chug-a-long-a,
Chug-a-long-a, Chug-a-long-a, Chug-a-long-a, Chug-a-long-a,
Toot! Toot!
Engine, engine, oh, so fine, Going down the Wee Sing Line,
See it sparkle, see it shine, Engine, engine, oh, so fine.
Cater : This is full.
Tusky : Yeah, It's great.
Chungalong : Tunnel ahead. A boy?
Tusky : A tunnel. Hey, our tunnel looks real.
Cater : This is going to be great.
Tusky : Oh, boy. Guys. I love tunnels. Superific.
This is nifty.
Casey : Listen to that echo, Hi!
Cater : Ho!
Everyone : Hi! Ho!
Casey : Look at you. Tusky.
Your note-aids are glowing.
Tusky : Look at that.
Everyone : Wow!
Tusky : This is neat.(굉장해.)
* neat, nifty, superific, great

Wee Sing Train (위씽 기차여행) (3)
Chugalong : Next stop, Farmer Fran's garden.
Farmer : Oh, now, Broccoli. Hold on there.
Cater : Gee, The vegetables look great, don't they?
Casey : Even better than I expected.
Cater : Hi, Farmer Fran. Hi, vegetables.
Farmer : Hi, kids. Hi, Tusky.
Tusky : What's going on?
Farmer : I'm trying to get these doggone singing vegetables to cooperate.
Casey : Singing vegetables?
Cater : I don't know they could sing.
Farmer : I know you made us, but we have a few surprises.
Anyway, we're trying to sing together here, and there's a problem.
Tusky : What do you mean?
Farmer : The brown potato loves the music of the George Frideric
Handel fella, and that's all he'll sing. Wait I'll show you.
Let's hear your vibrato, potato.
Potato : Oh, my! Yes! Gladly.
Brown potato, Brown potato, Brown potato, Brown potato, potato.
Brown potato, Brown potato, potato.
Brown potato, Brown potato, Brown potato, Brown potato, potato.
Farmer : Truly uplifted, I do admit.(정말 자랑스럽다.
But red beet here only grooves to rock'n roll.
Give us the beat, beet.
Beet : I'm ready to rock! 1, 2, 3, 4, Come on.
Red beet. Red beet. Red beet. Red beet.
Red beet. Red beet. Red beet. Red beet.
Beet, beet, Yeah, Red beet.
Beet, beet, Red beet.
Red beet. Red beet. Red beet. Red beet. Come on!
Red beet. Red beet. Red beet. Red beet. Wow!
Farmer : Now, that beet really rocks.
Orange carrot absolutely lives for country music.
Won't you share it, Carrot?
Carrot : Yes, Sirriee. I'll sing it for you.
Orange carrot, Orange carrot, Orange carrot, Orange carrot.
Oh, Orange carrot, Orange carrot.
Farmer : Whoo, I can't honestly feel that music.
But then again, there's green broccoli who totally lives for opera.
Please, pick a key broccoli.
Broccoli : I prefer the key of a C. (C
Farmer : Yeah, C. (좋아. C.)
Broccoli, Broccoli, Broccoli, Broccoli, Green broccoli.
Broccoli, Broccoli, Broccoli. Broccoli, Broccoli, Broccoli.
Farmer : Oh, dad gum grand. Dad gum grand.
But we need to share this music together.
Casey : They really are terrific.(정말 대단한데요?)
Cater : I had no idea, singing vegetables?
Tusky : Superific. But why can't they sing together.
Farmer : But they're just so knock-kneed different.
Tusky : They all sounded great to me.
Why don't they just try it?
Casey : Yeah, why don't they try?
Farmer : By golly, perhaps we should try. O.K., veggies,
There we go. And 1, and 2 ....
Brown potato, Brown potato, Brown potato, Brown potato.
Red beet. Red beet. Red beet. Red beet. Everybody!
Orange carrot, Orange carrot, Orange carrot, Orange carrot.
Broccoli, Broccoli, Broccoli, Broccoli
white radish(하얀 무) / green cabbage(초록 배추) / white onion(하얀 양파) 등으로 바꿔서 노래를 불러보세요.
scallions / green onions 파
cucumber 오이
celery 샐러리
green(red) peppers 피망, 고추
What's this?
It's a cucumber.
OK. what color is it?
It's green.
Yes, It's a green cucumber.
Green cucumber.
2>영어와 상관없는 이야기지만 원래 이 비디오의 목적에 맞게 음악을 즐기도록 해주는 것도 좋은 활용방법입니다. 클래식과 락, 컨트리, 오페라가 어떻게 다른지 그 분위기를 설명해주세요. 하긴, 설명하지 않아도 저절로 설명이 되지요. 감자가 헨델의 할렐루야에 맞추어 노래를 부를 때의 그 장엄함이라든가, 비트가 비트를 넣어가며 신나게 락을(약간 건방지게^^) 부르는 모습, 당근의 입이 비뚤어지도록 목청껏 노래하는 모습, 브로콜리가 프랑스 발음을 흉내내며 상당히 거만하게 귀족 냄새를 풍기는 모습 등은 각기 그 장르의 분위기를 과장되게 전달합니다. 우리 아이는 자기가 꼭 감자 파트를 맡아야 한다고 우기는 버릇이 있어요. 어디 놀러라도 가면 차안에서 아이는 감자를 엄마는 비트를 아빠는 당근 역을 맡아 함께 노래를 해줘야 합니다. 그 불협화음, 참 끔찍하지요. 그래도 아이가 어찌나 좋아하는지....^^;
If you want to treat your ears to absolute some spine-tingling music.
Let's go!
Tusky : Boy, I love this place.
Casey : It looks pretty good, doesn't it?
Cater : Except that. Look at the old gray mare.
That fence is barely holding her up.
Casey : But what happened to the rest of the animals we put here?
Farmer : That's the spine-tingling part.(바로 그게 가슴 뛰는 부분이지.)
Just open those peepers and bend those ears.
Had a little rooster by the barnyard gate,
That little rooster was my playmate,
That little rooster went. Cock-a-doodle doo, dee doo-dle-lee,
Doo-dle lee, doo-dle-lee-doo.
Had a little cow by the barnyard gate,
That little cow was my playmate,
That little cow went. Moo, moo, moo,
That little rooster went. Cock-a-doodle doo, dee doo-dle-lee,
Doo-dle lee, doo-dle-lee-doo.
Farmer : I love these animals. I just love them.
Oh, no, wait, wait. There's more.
Had a little pig by the barnyard gate,
That little pig was my playmate,
That little pig went. Oink, oink, oink,
That little cow went. Moo, moo, moo,
That little rooster went. Cock-a-doodle doo, dee doo-dle-lee,
Doo-dle lee, doo-dle-lee-doo.
Had a little lamb the barnyard gate,
That little lamb was my playmate,
That little lamb went. Baa, baa, baa,
That little pig went. Oink, oink, oink,
That little cow went. Moo, moo, moo,
That little rooster went. Cock-a-doodle doo, dee doo-dle-lee,
Doo-dle lee, doo-dle-lee-doo.
Everyone : That was grand. That was dad gum grand.(정말 대단했어.)
Tusky : Superific.(멋지다.)
Casey : I loved it.
Carter : I didn't know they could sing either,
Farmer : Aren't they knee-slapping spectacular?
Kids, I would like some more animals. Just think of a potential.
We could have a regular grand old barnyard opera here.
How about a goat or a donkey?
* show-stopping / knee-slapping / spine-tingling
Cubby : Where's Tusky going?
Tusky : Hi, there, My name is Tusky. What's yours?
Mare : Just call me the old gray mare, young fella.
Tusky : Why are you leaning against the fence?
Mare : I'm old and tired. You see?
The Old Gray Mare, she ain't what she used to be,
Ain't what she used to be, Ain't what she used to be,
The Old Gray Mare, she ain't what she used to be,
Many long years ago,(아주 오래전 같지 않다네.)
Many long years ago, Many long years ago,
The Old Gray Mare, she ain't what she used to be, Many long years ago.
The Old Gray Mare, she kicked on the whippletree,
Kicked on the whiffle tree, Kicked on the whiffle tree,
The Old Gray Mare, she kicked on the whiffle tree,
Many long years ago, Many long years ago,
Many long years ago, The Old Gray Mare,
she kicked on the whiffle tree, Many long, it was many long years ago.
* ain't 원래는 am not의 축약형이나 is not, are not, has not, have not등의 축약형으로도 많이 쓰입니다.
* used to 과거의 상태나 습관.
* whiffle tree whiffletree = whippletree 말 매는 가로막대
Tusky : You know, This fence doesn't look very sturdy.
Mare : It's really just fine, thank you.
Tusky : But it might fall over, Here, let me make it stronger.
Mare : Really? I think it's O.K.
Tusky : Let me just push on.
Tusky : Guys, help.
Mare&Tusky : Oh, no, I'm struck, I'm struck.
Tusky : Here, maybe if I push on...
Mare : Oh, my, Oh, me, I don't think I can't get up.
Farmer : I thought that fence was sturdier.
Casey : Oh, dear, Are you both O.K.?
Tusky : I'm not sure, guys, I'm stuck.
Farmer : Well, let's get the old grey mare up first, 1, 2, 3...
Be careful, Here we go, Almost there, kids, up!
Are you all right, old grey mare?
Mare : Think so.
Farmer : Kids, Let's go help Tusky.
Tusky : Oh, hi.
Cater : Oh, there.
Everyone : O.K.
Farmer : Here we go, 1, 2, 3... Well, it looks like everyone's O.K.....
But I don't know what to do about this fence.
Cater : I know. Come on.
Casey : Tusky, what happened?
Tusky : I was wordering if the fence was sturdy enough.
Mare : So, he was trying to fix it.
Even though I told him it was holding me up just fine.
Tusky : I meant it fell over.
Casey : Tusky, You should've listened to the old grey mare.
Tusky : I just wanted to help. I'm sorry. I hope you're O.K.
Mare : Thanks, young fella, I'll be all right after I rest a minute.
Tusky : I think I'm hurt.
Cater : You're hurt? Where?
Farmer : This'll make a downright nifty new fence. It sure will.
Cater : Thanks, Chugalong.
Farmer : The old gray mare will love this.
Cater : I bet. Is he O.K.?
Casey : He's fine, It's just a little scratch.
Cubby : Oh, no. oh, my! I just knew something was going to happen.
Cater : It's alright, Cubby. A note-aid will take care of it. Right, Tusky?
Tusky : Definitely.
Farmer : Put your end over there, Cater.
Mare : I'll slide my end in right..... there.
Cater : Great, Hope she like it.
Farmer : Try that, Old gray mare.
Mare : I love it! Maybe I just needed a little color.
Chungalong : All aboard, everyone!
We're headed for the mountains!
Cater : Bye, Sirriee. Bye, old gray mare!
Everyone : Bye, bye, everybody!
Sirree : Bye, bye, Tusky.
Cater : Hope you like your fence.
Everyone : Good bye, barnyard animals!
Chungalong : Was it a good adventure, Tusky?
Tusky : Yeah, It was superific. Until..
Chungalong : Until when, Tusky?
Tusky : Until I tried to help the old gray mare, and I knocked over the fence.
Chungalong : Oh, and did you learn anything?
Tusky : Yeah, I need to think before I do something.
Chungalong : Good, perhaps next time then. Get on board.
Tusky : O.K., Here we go!
Chungalong : Off to the mountains!
Chung-a-long-a, Chung-a-long-a, Chung-a-long-a, Chung-a-long-a.
I love the mountains, I love the rolling hills, I love the flowers,
I love the daffodils, I love the fireside, When all the lights are low.
Boom-de-ah-da, Boom-de-ah-da, Boom-de-ah-da, Boom de-ay.
Boom-de-ah-da, Boom-de-ah-da, Boom-de-ah-da, Boom de-ay.
Boom, Boom, Boom (붐디아다 붐디아다 붐디아다 붐디에이 붐붐붐 춤을 추자.)

Wee Sing Train (위씽 기차여행) (4)
Cater : The hills look pretty good, don't you think?
Casey : So do the mountains.
Tusky : They sure do.
Cubby : Uh-oh, Chungalong, Stop!
Chungalong : Yes, What's wrong?
Cubby : The blackbirds up on the hill!
Cater : Remember? I never could get that one to stay in place.
Blackbird 1 : Hey, What's all the commotion?
Cater : You were tipped over.(네가 비뚤어져 있었잖아.)
I thought you'd like to sit by your friends, here.
Blackbird 1 : Tipped over? I was taking a snooze.
Blackbird 2 : Rrawk! He's always snoozing, And he snores like crazy.
Blackbird 1 : Who says I snore? I don't snore.
Blackbird 2 : Yes, you do.
Blackbird 1 : No, I don't.
Blackbird 2 : Yes, you do.
Blackbird 1 : No, I don't.
Casey : Hold it. You're just two blackbirds sitting on a hill.
Blackbird 2 : What's that supposed to mean?
Blackbird 1 : Just sitting? Sitting on a hill? That's it?
That's all there is?
Cater : No, the poem. It goes like this....
Cater&Casey : Two little blackbirds sitting on a hill.
One named Jack and one named Jill.
Fly away, Jack. Fly away, Jill.
Come back, Jack. Come back, Jill.
Blackbird 1 : You got to be kidding me. That's all we do?
Casey : Well, you can do the things, too.
Cater : Right, Like um... Sleep and..... Snore!
Casey : And, uh, visit the farm, And um...
Anything you like, really.
Blackbird 1 : That's more like it. I mean, sittin' and flyin'. flyin' and sittin'.
* That's more like it. 그쪽이 더 낫다(구어체 표현)
Casey : It's just a poem.(그냥 시일 뿐이야.)
Cater : Why don't you try it with us?
Casey : Just for fun.
Blackbird 1 : You mean sit and fly? You call that fun?
Blackbird 2 : Come on. If it makes them happy.
Blackbird 1 : But Jack and Jill?
Blackbird 2 : It's just a poem.
Blackbird 1 : Sound like we need a pail of water.
I don't want to break my crown.
Cater : That's another poem.
재미로요.(Just for fun!) 그 유명한 'Jack and Jill'입니다.
Jack and Jill went up the hill(잭과 질이 언덕 위로 올라갔다네.)
To fetch a pail of water.(물 한 통 가져오려고.)
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
(Wiggle one thumb and wrist downward)
And Jill came tumbling after.
(Wiggle other thumb and wrist downward)
Then up got Jack and said to Jill,(그러자 잭이 일어나 질에게 말했네.)
(Bring one thumb up, then the other)
As in his arms he took her,(두 팔로 질을 잡으며)
"Brush off that dirt for you're not hurt, (너는 괜찮으니 이 흙 좀 털어내라.)
(Brush one thumb with the other)
Let's fetch that pail of water."
So Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch the pail of water,
(Thumbs straight up, alternating upward)
And took it home to Mother dear,
Who thanked her son and daughter.
Blackbird 2 : It's just a poem, Come on, make them happy.
Blackbird 1 : All right, go ahead, We can do this.
You want to be Jack? O.K. I'll be Jack, Go ahead!
Cater&Casey : Two little blackbirds sitting on the hill.
Blackbird 1 : How's this? How we doing?
Blackbird 2 : Great. You like it?
Cater&Casey : One named Jack and one named Jill.
Blackbird 1 : What do we do now, bow or something?
How do you do? My name's Jack.
Blackbird 2 : Nice to meet you, Jack, I'll Jill.
Cater&Casey : Fly away, Jack.
Blackbird 1 : Fly where? You never told me where.
Blackbird 2 : Just over there, It's no big deal.
Cater&Casey : Fly away, Jill. 질.)
Blackbird 1 : Come over here.
Blackbird 2 : No, I'm not going over there.
Tusky : There she goes.
Blackbird 2 : Over here. I'm over here now!
Blackbird 1 : You never listen. You just do your own thing.
Blackbird 2 : Lighten up! It's only a poem.
Cater&Casey : Come back, Jack.
Blackbird 1 : I can handle this. Can you handle this?
Tusky : That's great.(잘했어.)
Cater&Casey : Come back, Jill.
Blackbird 2 : I've got it. This I can do.
Tusky : There she goes!
Cater : That was nice. Thank you.
Blackbird 1 : We're getting the hang of it now. What do we do next?
Casey : That's all there is. That's the poem.
Blackbird 1 : That's all there is? You got to be kidding me!
How about "Fly to the farm, Jack." or "Sit on the broccoli, Jill?"
Chungalong : Time to go. We have a long climb ahead of us.
* get the hang of~ 요령을 터득하다.
Blackbird 1 : You're leaving already?
Cater : We have to go. You were great.
Casey : You really were. Thanks.
Blackbird 1 : That's all there is? Well, O.K. 음.
Chung-a-long-a, Chung-a-long-a, Chung-a-long-a, Chung-a-long-a.
Blackbird 2 : See? I told you snored!
Blackbird 1 : Who snore?
Tusky : Here we go over the mountains.
Blackbird 1 : I do not.
Blackbird 2 : You do.
Tusky : Wow, we're really going uphill!
I hope you made this sturdy, Carter.
Cater : Sure is. Carter, Boxes, and pillows.
Casey : We're starting to go really high.
Tusky : Boy, Do I love mountains, Guys?
Casey : Me, too.
Cater : Yeah, Aren't they great?
The train went over the mountain. The train went over the mountain.
The train went over the mountain. To see what he could see.
To see what he could see, To see what he could see,
The train went over the mountain. The train went over the mountain.
The train went over the mountain. To see what he could see.
Chungalong : Bridge up ahead!
Tusky : Boy, This is the fun part.
Casey : Where I put the river deep in the gorge?
Tusky : Yeah, here it comes. It is far down there!
Casey : It's beautiful.
Cubby : I'm closing my eyes. I don't want to see anythin'.
Are we across yet?
Can I look? Wow! It is beautiful! 와.
Tusky : We're almost at the top!
Cater&Casey : Yay!
And all that he could see, And all that he could see,
The other side of the mountain, The other side of the mountain,
The other side of the mountain, Was all that he could see.

Wee Sing Train (위씽 기차여행) (5)
Tusky : Guys, That was great!
Chungalong : Hang on, We're going down!
Tusky : Oh, boy!
Chungalong : Hold on, everybody! Hang on! Whew! We made it!
Tusky : Superific, guys. Let's do it again.
Cater : I need a rest.(좀 쉬어야겠어.)
Casey : Pretty neat, wasn't it?
Cater : It was great! Look at the castle! It's beautiful and the river, too.
Keemo, kymo, daro dime, Hey, ho, subble, bubble, sipso,
Periwinkle soap fat, penny, winkle nip cat, Kitty catcha kymee oh.
Chungalong : Here we are! Jennie's castle!
Cater : Hey, look! It's the frog!
Tusky : A fog? Let's go see!
There was a frog lived in a spring, Sing song kitty catch a kimee oh,
He could dance and he could sing, Sing song kitty catch a kymee oh.
Keemo, kymo, daro dime, Hey, ho, subble, bubble, sipso,
Periwinkle soap fat, penny, winkle nip cat, Kitty catcha kymee oh.
Tusky : Hi.
Frog : Hi.
Oh, what you gonna do when the rain don't fall?
Sing song kitty catch a kimee oh,
Crops grow small instead of tall,
Sing song kitty catch a kimee oh,
Keemo, kymo, daro dime, Hey, ho, subble, bubble, sipso,
Periwinkle soap fat, penny, winkle nip cat, Kitty catcha kymee oh.
Casey : You certainly are cheerful.
Frog : That's because I'm on my way to the castle.
Cater : That's what makes you this happy?
Frog : Actually, Ahm... Actually, I'm not a frog. I'm a prince.
Today the princess will kiss me.
And I'll turn back into the handsome prince. That I truly am.
Tusky : Superific! I want to watch!
Frog : Well, follow me. Princess Jennie Jenkins should be waiting.
This is a problem.
Cater&Casey : What?
Frog : No bridge.
Cater : How could I forgot the drawbridge?
Casey : Why don't you ask chungalong?
Cater : Right! Chungalong, could you, uh. Make us possibly.....
Chungalong : One drawbridge coming up.
Tusky : Look at him go!
Cater : He's *****.
Tusky : Oh, he made it!
Frog : Princess Jennie! Your frog...ahem. Your prince....is here.
Casey : What do you think?
Cater : She's beautiful. Good work, Casey.
Casey : Thanks. I wish I'd made her hair stay down.
Princess : How do, Casey, Cater, Tusky, And my dear sweet frog, (안녕.
here you are.
Frog : My princess, Are you ready to kiss me?
Princess : Um.....No.
Frog : But it's time. Today's the day.
Princess : Oh, It's such a special occasion.
I can't decide what to wear.
Frog : Not again. But you look terrific.
Come on, just a peck on the forehead.
Princess : No, It will never do. I must look appropriate for my prince.
Frog : But I'm here. It's me, And I think you look fabulous.
Princess : Oh, help me decide, dear frog.
Frog : Oh, boy! Here we go again!
Will you wear white, oh my dear, oh my dear?
Will you wear white, Jennie jenkins?
No, I won't wear white for the color's too bright.
I'll buy me a fol-de-rol-dy, til-de-tol-dy,
seek-a-dou-ble, use-a-cause-a, roll-a-find-me,
Roll, Jennie Jenkins, roll.
(나는 fol-de-rol-dy, til-de-tol-dy, seek-a-dou-ble, use-a-cause-a, roll-a-find-me,
Roll, Jennie Jenkins, roll
Will you wear blue, oh my dear, oh my dear?
Will you wear blue, Jennie jenkins?
No, I won't wear blue cause blue won't do.
I'll buy me a fol-de-rol-dy, til-de-tol-dy,
seek-a-dou-ble, use-a-ause-a, roll-a-find-me,
Roll, Jennie Jenkins, roll.
Frog : Princess, You look fine.
Princess : Oh, no!
Frog : Come on.
Will you wear green, oh my dear, oh my dear?
Will you wear green, Jennie Jenkins?
No, I won't wear green. It's the color of a bean.
I'll buy me a fol-de-rol-dy, til-de-tol-dy,
seek-a-dou-ble, use-a-ause-a, roll-a-find-me,
Roll, Jennie Jenkins, roll.
Frog : Are you going to kiss me or not?
Princess : Yes! No, Maybe so. Yes! No, Maybe so.
Yes! No, Maybe so.
Frog : Alright, Listen. This is your prince speaking.
One little kiss, and I'm all yours.
Princess : Yes! No, Maybe so. Yes! No, Maybe so.
Frog : Please make it so, Say yes.
Tusky : Guys, let's go.
Frog : Please make it so, say yes.
Chungalong : Do you think she'll kiss him?
Casey : Yes.
Cater : No. (아니.)
Tusky : Maybe so.
I'll buy me a foldy -roldy, tildy-toldy
Seek-a-double, use-a-cozza roll to find me
Roll, Jenny Jenkins, roll.
시를 쓰는 것처럼 white/bright, green/seen, yellow/fellow 등으로 운을 잘 맞추고 있어요.
Will you wear white
Oh my dear, oh my dear
Will you wear white, Jenny Jenkins?
No I won't wear white
For the color's too bright
I'll buy me a foldy-roldy, tildy-toldy
Seek-a-double, use-a-cozza roll to find me
Roll, Jenny Jenkins, roll
Will you wear green
Oh my dear, oh my dear
Will you wear green, Jenny Jenkins?
No, I won't wear green
It's a shame to be seen
Will you wear blue
Oh my dear, oh my dear
Will you wear blue, Jenny Jenkins?
No, I won't wear blue
For the color's too true
Will you wear yellow
Oh my dear, oh my dear
Will you wear yellow, Jenny Jenkins?
No, I won't wear yellow
For I'd never get a fellow
Will you wear brown
Oh my dear, oh my dear
Will you wear brown, Jenny Jenkins?
No, I won't wear brown
For I'd never get around
Will you wear beige
Oh my dear, oh my dear
Will you wear beige, Jenny Jenkins?
No, I won't wear beige
For it shows my age
Will you wear orange
Oh my dear, oh my dear
Will you wear orange, Jenny Jenkins?
No, orange I won't wear
And it rhymes so there
What will you wear?
Oh my dear, oh my dear
What will you wear, Jenny Jenkins?
Oh what do you care
If I just go bare
*그림책 중에 "What will you wear, Jenny Jenkins?"

Once there was a king. His daughters were all beautiful, but the youngest was the most beautiful of all.
Near the king's castle there was a dark forest, and in the forest under a tree there was a spring. On warm days the youngest princess always came here and sat by the cool water. Sometimes she took a golden ball. She threw it in the air and caught it again, and that was her pleasure.
One day, while she was playing with her golden ball, it did not fall back into her little hands. It fell into the spring. The princess began cry.
Just then a frog came out of the water and said, " Princess, why are you crying?" "I'm crying because my golden ball has fallen into the spring," she answered. "Don't cry any more," said the frog. "I can help you. But what will you give me, if I get back your toy for you?"
"I will give you anything you like, dear frog." she said," my clothes, my jewels, or anything you like." "I don't want any of them," answered the frog. "I want to live with you; I want to eat from your little gold plate and sleep on your bed."
She wanted her ball so much that she did not think much and said to the frog. "Very well, I'll promise anything you like, if you only bring back my ball." The frog jumped into the water and soon he came back with the ball. He threw it on the ground.
The princess was very glad to see her pretty toy again. She picked it up and ran away. "Stop, princess!" cried the frog. "Take me with you. I cannot run so fast." But the princess did not hear the frog speaking. She ran home and soon forgot all about the poor frog.
The next day, when the princess was sitting at table with the king, she heard strange footsteps and someone knocked at the door and said, "Youngest princess, let me come in!" She ran to the door to see who was there. But when she opened it, she saw the frog there. She was very much afraid and shut the door at once.
The King saw this and said: "Child, why are you afraid? Is there a giant at the door?" "Oh, no," she answered, "it isn't a giant, it's an ugly frog."
"What does the frog want with you?" "Oh, dear father, yesterday I was playing by the spring. My golden ball fell into the water.
Because I was crying, the frog jumped into the water and brought it back for me. I promised him that I would be his friend. But at that time I didn't think he could come here. Now he is outside the door, and wants to come in here."
At that time there was another knock at the door, and a voice said: "Open the door, my youngest princess! Have you forgotten the promise you made, by the spring under the tree's shade? Open the door, my youngest princess!"
Then the king said, "You must not break your promise. Go and let him come in." So she went and opened the door, and the frog hopped in, and said to the princess, "Take me up on your chair."
The king told his daughter to take him up on her chair. So she put him on her chair. Then the frog jumped on to the table and said, "Push your little gold plate nearer and let's eat together." The princess did so very unwillingly. The frog ate very much, and then said, "Now I am tired. Take me to your little room. Let us lie down and go to sleep."
The princess thought of the cold frog sleeping in her pretty clean bed and began to cry. But the king said, "You must be kind to him, for he helped you when you were in trouble" She picked the frog up with her two fingers, carried him upstairs to her room and put him in a corner. But when she was in bed, he came up to her bed and said, " I am tired and sleepy. Please take me up on your bed, or I'll tell your father."
Then the princess got very angry. She caught the frog up and threw him with all her might against the wall. When he fell to the floor, he was no longer a frog, but a handsome prince with beautiful eyes. Then he said to her, "I was changed into an ugly frog by a bad witch and you alone could help me to get out of the spring."
Soon the prince married the princess and took her to his own country. They lived happily together.

Wee Sing Train (위씽 기차여행) (6)
Tusky : That castle was great! That princess sure is *****.
What's happening? What's happening?
Chungalong : There's a tree across the tracks. I stopped just in time.
Casey : I guess I didn't balance my tree right after all.
Tusky : I can fix this. Wait here.
Cater : Oh, Tusky. Hold on, wait. Let's do it together.
Tusky : Wait just a minute!
Chungalong : Oh, Tusky!(오!
Cubby : Be careful!
Chungalong : Tusky, you're going to hurt yourself. Oh, no, no, no!
Cubby : Oh, no!
Cater : Are you O.K. Tusky?
Tusky : I was just wondering if I could move the tree all by myself.
Chungalong : Oh, Tusky.
Casey : Let us help you up.
Cubby : Oh, dear! Oh, my, my, my, my.
Chungalong : Tusky. You should have waited till you could work
together.
Tusky : I know, I'm sorry.
Cater : Where does it hurt?
Tusky : Right here. I think I need a...
Cater : A note-aid?
Tusky : How'd you know?
Cater : Oh, just a lucky guess.
Cubby : Tusky, You always say you're sorry.
Then do something again without thinking.
Casey : He's right, you know.
Cater : We all make mistakes, Tusky.
We should've made tree, bell, and fence sturdier.
But you must be more careful.
Casey : It's better to be safe than sorry.
Cubby : It's time to change. It is. I mean it.
You must think before you act.
Tusky : O.K.
You are very special and we love you so,
we love you so, we love you so, (우린 널 정말 사랑해.
You are very special and you need to know:
Be careful what you do.
Always think before you act. That's what you've been taught,
Then be sure to ask yourself, "Is it safe or not?"
You are very special and we love you so,
we love you so, we love you so,
You are very special and you need to know:
Be careful what you do.
I'll be careful, very careful, I'll be careful, careful, what I do.
You are very special and we love you so,
we love you so, we love you so,
You are very special and you need to know:
Be careful what you do.
Then be sure to ask yourself, "Is it safe or not?"
And I love you too!
그리고 Tusky가 그 앙증맞은 목소리로 "I'll be careful.."
Tusky : Ah.. Now let's go move that tree together!
Cater&Casey : Yeah!
Cubby : Good idea, Tusky.
I've been working on the railroad, All the live-long day,
I've been working on the railroad, Just to pass the time away,
Don't you hear the whistle blowin'. Rise up so early in the morn'.
Don't you hear the captain shouting, "Dinah, blow your horn!"
Cowboy 1 : What's going on here?
Blackbird 1 : What's with the walking hospital?
Chungalong : Tusky's really changed. To be cautious.
Cowboys : Maybe we can help.
Dinah, won't you blow, Dinah, won't you blow, (다이나.
Dinah, won't you blow, your horn?
Dinah, won't you blow, Dinah, won't you blow,
Dinah, won't you blow, your horn?
Paper-dolls : Tusky's covered with note aids!
What happened?
Sheriff knickerbocker : Is that young fella trying another dangerous stunt?
Cubby : Oh, no. He's being very careful this time. Safety first.
Someone's in the kitchen with Dinah,
Someone's in the kitchen I know.
Someone's in the kitchen with Dinah,
Strummin' on the old banjo!
Farmer : How's happening here?
Mare : Tusky's learning about cooperation and safety.
Princess : Oh, Prince, Look at Tusky.
Prince : My dear, He looks like a changed elephant.
And singin' Fee, Fi, Fiddlee-i-o. Fee, Fi, Fiddlee-i-o
Fee, Fi, Fiddlee-i-ooooo... Strummin' on the old banjo
And singin' Fee, Fi, Fiddlee-i-o. Fee, Fi, Fiddlee-i-o
Fee, Fi, Fiddlee-i-ooooo... Strummin' on the old banjo.
Chungalong : Great teamwork!
Cubby : I'm proud of you, Tusky. Really proud.
Tusky : Look! Cubby made a note! Superific!
그때 Carter가 'Good try!'
And thanks to all my friends. I'm going to think before I act.
Now that the track is clear.
It's safe for the Wee Sing Train to roll! Let's go Chungalong!
Chungalong : O.K.
Tusky : Come on, Cubby.
Casey : No, Tusky.
Everyone : Slow down, Tusky! Don't run. Tusky, slow down!
Tusky : Better safe than sorry.
Everyone : Tusky!
Chungalong : All board, everybody!
The Wee Sing Train's about to roll!
Tusky : Get on board! Let's go!
Chung-a-long-a, Chung-a-long-a, Chung-a-long-a, Chung-a-long-a.
The Wee Sing Train's a-comin', A-comin' round the bend,
Just hear those car wheels rumblin'. A-rollin' through the land.
Get on board, little children, Get on board, little children,
Get on board, little children, There's room for many a-more.
Engine, engine, oh, so fine, Going down the Wee Sing Line,
See it sparkle, see it shine, Engine, engine, oh, so fine.
Chug-a-Long the Engine, And Cubby the Caboose,
Rollin' down the Wee Sing track, Chuggin' along and singin' a song,
Chug-a-Long in front and Cubby in the back.
