설날에 대하여 이야기 해주세요(1) > 콘텐츠 공모전

이제 얼마 안있으면 설날이쟎아요. 우리 큰딸이 6살, 이젠 설날에 대해 이야기 해줘야 할것 같아 몇자 적어봤어요. 혹시 잘못된 문장이 있다면 재빨리 알려주세요. 규리야! 설날이 무슨날인지 아니? kyuri! Do you know what is Sol-nal? 설날은 음력 1월1일이고, 올해는 1월24일이구나. Sol-nal is the first day of the lunar new year and January 24th in this year. 설날 아침에 사람들은 일찍 일어나서 세수하고 새옷을 입는단다. 이옷을 설빔이라고 하는데 새로운 시작을 나타내는것이고 주로 한복을 입는단다. On the morning of Sol-nal peoples get up early and wash their face and were new dress which are called Solbim, symbolizing a fresh beginning. And they wear mainly Korean clothes as Solbim. 그리고나서 자손들은 윗어른들에게 새해에 건강하구 좋은일 많이 생기시라구 절을 한다. 이절을 세배라구해. Then the younger generation bows to their elders, wishing them good health and prosperity in the coming year so-calld Soebae. 세배후에는 어른들이 자손들에게 새돈을 선물로 준단다. 이것을 세배돈이야. The elder give gift of newly-minted mooney to younger generation after the bows are performed. This money is a hansel. 설날에 모든 사람들이 떡국을 먹는데 떡국은 고깃덩어리가 들어있는 육수에 얇게 저며진 흰떡과 파를 넣고 끓이고 그위에 고명을 얹는단다. On the Sol-nal everyone eating Ttokkuk, which consist of thinly sliced plain white rice cake boiled in a thick beef broth with green onions and topped with garnishes. 그리고 한국사람들은 떡국을 먹으면 나이를 한살 더 먹는다고 생각한단다. And koreans think eating Ttokkuk adds one year of age.
